Costa Venezia Makeover

Carnival announced key items in the retro-fit this morning.  I actually like the new restaurant, bar and venue branding.  The one truly Carnival addition is Guy's Burgers, albeit with an Italian twist.  I think I'm going to enjoy the overall product offering.

Some key points summarized.

*Guys Burgers will be added but with some new items and a revised decor.

*Alchemy bar WILL NOT be on the ships BUT there will be a mixologist bar concept with some of the Alchemy Bar's cocktails. 

*Cucina WILL NOT be on the ship but there will be a new Italian Specialty restaurant that hasn't been revealed yet.

*Javablue is going to be on the ship on the Lido Deck.

*A new frozen drinks venue will be on the Lido Deck

^The new Terraza category cabins outdoor terrace will have two new hottubs but no pool and a special exclusive continental break fast and seaday brunch.

*There was a screenshot discussing minibars in all cabins.

If I heard fun in a description one more time I was going to hurl.

 

A Mexitalian fusion probably won't make my top ten favorites.

 

Will be interested in trying Guy's pepperoni pizza burger.

 

Christine apparently is unaware that everyone no longer has access to Havana areas at night, but apparently they will in the Terrazza Carnevale area. This does conflict with other published information.

 

The MDR will have an expanded menu from the standard Carnival menus.

 

Interested in what La Strada Grill will offer.

 

The to be revealed new Italian restaurant will offer select sea day brunches.

 

Information from other locations.

There will be a non-smoking casino annex!!!

 

The theater will become a late-night night club.

Thank you for posting the video link! It sounds like they’re adding quite a bit. So far I’m not disappointed. Hopefully the new food will taste good.

 

 I’m not keen on the Mexican/Italian fusion but if it’s like Chibang I will just order from the Mexican side.
