I thought access to the Cabana deck was a perk for all 146 Cabana cabins including (C1, C2) - deck 9 Reserve Cabana Mini-Suite and (CA, CB) - deck 10, 11, 12 Cabana Mini-Suite.

There would not be enough space for all of those cabins to have access to that area. 146 cabins to have access to those strips of space on both sides of the ship would not be enough space. It is more than likely just for those C1 cabins that are adjacent.  And it looks like there are gates at the top and bottom of the sections, so you are possibly even only allowed in your section whether it be starboard or aft, but that is just an assumption.

The C2 cabins are the sections forward (9106-9236) and aft (9324-9358).   The middle section I was referring to are C1 cabins (9238-9320).  The C1 is the Cabana deck, which has the walkway between the edge of the ship and where your cabana ends.  There is no walkway with the C2 cabins.

It appears as though there will be access (doors) to the cabana deck for all of the Reserve Cabanas. I agree that the Medallion will open access for the Reserve Cabana passengers.

C2 DOES have access to sun deck

We do not know how wide the sun deck is

If in fact the C2 cabins have access to that area, why on earth would anybody reserve a C1 cabin when somebody else could be lounging in the area where your cabana ends until you hit the side of the ship?

As I just stated, we have no idea how wide that sundeck is going to be and I don’t seriously think that everybody is going to go there every single day. I really do have faith in the engineers that they have figured this one out.

After all, Cabana guests should have... well... their own Cabana to stick to if they find the assigned space too packed.

I´m starting to imagine me on my deck 12 balcony looking down to the Cabana deck with reserving towels flying away and people getting into arguments 😁

Personally I don’t like people sitting in front of my cabin plus view of the ocean will be poor.  Secondly, are you going to have access from your cabin balcony to Cabana deck?

Does anyone have any information, insight, guesses about the S1 Signature Suites that have access to the Sanctuary?  They are clearly regular "mini suites", with the perks being those that come with 'actual' Suites, and the Suite Area of the Sanctuary.   Clearly one would not have a reserved lounger as they would have booking the Sanctuary but assume there would be space for all there.

I am not sure what you are asking but - all Suites designated with an "S" (S0 - S9) have access to the private suite area in the Sanctuary. Everyone would have to pay extra for the regular Sanctuary area.

I am speculating on the Signature Sanctuary space and wondering if it will lend itself to a competition for loungers as that is counter intuitive to serenity… or if any Suite guest who wants one will get one

CA on deck 12 - also promised access to the Cabana perks, special restaurant etc.

I don't know who promised that, but I don't think it's true. If you read all the info available, it says only Reserve Cabana rooms will have access to the Reserve Restaurant and the Reserve deck. We studied all the information and deck plans because the Future Cruise Specialist onboard the Ruby in March also thought that and booked us in a CA room.  When I got home and did more research, we switched to a C2 and lost $600 onboard credit as the promotion had expired, but that's how much we believe it to be true. I have seen videos saying all kinds of things, but I don't think they know what they are talking about.  Obviously the Future Cruise Specialist didn't know the difference either! It's almost impossible to find anyone that really knows.

They just recently changed the language on the Princess site to make it clearer about the Cabana mini suites. It now says: "Enjoy Reserve Collection upgrades on select Cabana Mini-Suites. In addition to the great amenities found in all Cabana Mini-Suites, you will receive Reserve Collection upgrades, including access to the Reserve Collection Restaurant."

I wish you luck and hope you get what you want.

Mary Ann and I had this discussion many posts back. I thought that my cabana mini suite on deck 11 had those perks. After much discussion and both of us hashing it out, we came to the conclusion that CA cabins were not Reserve and did not have those perks. I checked with my planner who also did research and CA does not get those perks. Only C1 snd C2 on deck 9 have them. I moved first to a cabin on deck 9 which I then realized was right on the Sun Deck and I did not want people outside my cabin. Then move to a C2 on 9 with the perks and privacy   Lol I think my planner will stop responding to me

How exactly can one get "upgraded"? Never happened to us.

A few years ago our CVP submitted us for an upgrade on Caribbean from a balcony to a mini-suite.  She didn't tell us because she hadn't had much luck with that in the past.  Then, out of the blue, we got notice that we had been upgraded and would we like to make the change.  We didn't actually have to do anything but accept.

If anyone remains unsure about who has access to the Cabana deck, I think this is the best indicator, from the stateroom descriptions:  "Access to the Cabana Deck, an outdoor lounge space exclusively for Reserve Cabana staterooms".

By my count 78 rooms are reserve cabana rooms.  So hopefully traffic in that space won't be wild.  Now my wife and I booked a reserve cabana ahead of the canaba deck because I didn't want to have people out in front of my balcony and I wanted a better view of the ocean from the balcony. I hope the glass is not as high as the renderings seem to show.

If you are an extrovert (I'm not) I could potentially see having people around could be nice to talk with, etc.  Or if you have a large group of people who all wanted to book reserve cabanas you could have a sort of semi-private spot for everyone to gather.

I am hoping there is good drink service on the cabana deck!

Good Lord, please no Reserve Cabana Society gatherings after 10 pm below 12423.

Thank you 😅

surely the members of the Reserve Cabana Society will be respectful of quiet hours!  Maybe the great drink service I hope for on the cabana deck will need to end in the 9:30 to 10pm hour to help facilitate the quiet hour respectfulness.

We're in 11435.  If I'm seeing things correctly, the cabana starts just aft of us.
