We'll be booking our appointment to the Kelowna Service Canada office early next year. Thanks for the info on the ease of the process.

I just sent my request via Purolator today 

The website says 20 working days

My next trip is may 2024, I expect to get it back in Jan 2024.

I mailed to Gatineau office, all my passports usually get issued from there.

Will be happy if I get the " old stock "

My doc's were just returned to me

I had an error in my credit card number

Why do they ask for a phone no if they can't be bothered to call.

Whole thing could have been resolved in 5 min.

Took them more time ( and extra expense,) to return everything to me 

 

Seriously. I am not a happy camper

A couple of weeks ago, in response to another poster's passport issue, you made the following comment:  "You can stress about it, or Just do it and forget about it. I know what I would do"

 

Time to listen to your own excellent advice.

Just hate the extra step that could have been avoided 

My niece sent me a link to make an appointment in person

Does anyone know if the rule about passports being valid for six months following disembarkation from your cruise uses calendar months or 184 days to determine validity?

our cruise ends April 7 and my passport expires October 15.

I've never seen any related requirement use terminology other than the number of months. So six months is six months, whether or not they include a February or a leap year where the day count would be different.

My six month expiry date was 03 Sep and the cruise returned 02 Sep.  Didn't have any problems.  I just went with the six month ruling.

Take just dropped off my passeport renewal form at a service Canada office

Great option

Super friendly

Took less then 1 hr

They say current delay is about 1 month

I should get it back around Feb 10th

Definitely, this is my new method.

2 weeks tomorrow and my old passeport was returned to me today ( voided).

So new one should be right behind

It’s very strange the discrepancies as to which is returned first, and how far between the two. I got mine both on the same day, but others have reported a big difference.

I recently had to renew my passport, and the process was very simple. I lined up an hour before the office opened and was the first in line. Ten minutes after I arrived, the line had grown to about 40 people. I was in and out in 15 minutes, and the turnaround time is 7 days (with the $50 rush fee). The later in the day the more busy the office is.

I finally got my passeport. So 3 weeks from my 2nd try.

I got the old model, so very happy.

I am good for 10 years
