We got the spend $1,000, get 35,000 points on our platinum card.  We have B2B2B cruises that have already passed final pmt.

Does anyone know if the $1000 "spend" has to be one transaction?  I'm thinking that buying OBC is our only option and spreading it between the 3 cruises might be the best way to do it.

Never mind...  Just found the answer to my question.  🙃

Why not buy it for the first cruise and cash out what's left at the end of that to spend where you'd like?

Thank you!  Have a final payment to make in a couple of weeks.  I've heard recently that even if you have several cards on one account that get the offer,  the account can only receive one offer.  That was not how it was in the past.  One time I used all 4 cards on my account and received $1,000.  I'm going to try again and I will post what happens.

My husband's offer is a bit different ($500 for 17,500 points), which leads me to believe I'm going to be able to use both.  I'll keep you posted.

In the past have had duplicate offers on my card and spouses card; we were able to use both.  It is a single account. But, just because it was allowed in the past can't say it will be now.

Same.  I have offers on all 4 of my cards, so I'll let you know how it goes.

If you buy OBC with a credit card pre-sailing can OBC be used in the casino without paying for 5% as it is not cash forwarding from a credit card?

This is on my mind as well. I understand that some cruise lines do not charge fees for slot machine transfers. Once you are done playing you can to a machine or see a cashier to cash out. May call Celebrity to see if I can learn more.

Here is something to watch out for. The offer was on my account yesterday. I actually saw it before I saw this thread. I didn't add it to my card at the time as I was thinking about how to take advantage of it. Today it has disappeared from my offers. I double checked to see if it happened to be on my card. Nope.

I've seen this happen before, and sometimes they come back. Hopefully this one will. The lesson to be learned here is if you see it and think you might use it, go ahead and add it to your card. Then it should be there.

I used my Amex to pay 1000 towards my Galapagos cruise.  Checked on the card of the authorized user  - no celebrity offer, so can't try to see if that works.   Will check in a few days to see if it pops up and if so, we'll try to pay another 1K on it to test the authorized user theory.....

The terms and conditions make it clear that it shouldn't work but who knows, perhaps AMEX will make a mistake

You mean paying again for authorized user?  Or paying towards a balance?  Is it only good on a NEW reservation?

I appreciate that. Unfortunately that's not the problem I have, it's not that they have all disappeared, it's that the specific Celebrity offer has disappeared.

It's good for any charge you make to Celebrity. But you have to downlaod the offer BEFORE you make the charge!

Almost all charges prior to sailing as it does say it excludes onboard charges.  Onboard charges will appear as "Celebrity [ship name]".  Everything else should appear as "Celebrity Cruises"

According to the T&Cs, you'll only receive one offer per membership reward account and your AMEX primary card and AU Cards all share (or pool into) the same account

Yes.  Land based casinos code credit cards withdrawals as cash advances where the casino may or may not charge their own fee but your credit card will charge you cash advance fees.  On cruise lines, they may or may not charge you a room charge fee but that goes directly to the cruise line.  Room charge transactions are added to your on board account which will be coded as travel (not cash advances)

Gotcha - I doubted it would work.  Figured no harm in attempting since we need to pay in a few months anyway, and some people earlier in the post said it worked in a previous offer (maybe different T&Cs of course).  But I'm the only one with the offer anyway.  But hey, at least I was able to take advantage of the offer!

Nothing to lose to try multiple cards, I'd just set my expectations extremely low that you're awarded the offer twice

The number of people that can add the offer is limited so you have to add the offer immediately if you think you might use it.  Otherwise, it can disappear from your available offers at any time. These cruise line ones are super popular and go fast.

Hi everyone!  I have a 24 hour hold on a Solstice sailing with my travel agent. I asked them how it was charged, and they said that the charge goes directly through Celebrity, and will show up that way on my credit card bill.

Will this offer (which I have added to my AmEx card already) work if I pay through my travel agent?

I ask because they are offering an additional $200 on board credit that the celebrity website is not offering for my cabin.

Thank you SO much for any information!

Yes. Should be fine. Just confirm with the TA that your Amex will be billed directly to Celebrity.
