Cancel or just no show?

I’m considering canceling an upcoming cruise, since flights are astronomical for the dates needed and very few options for getting us there/back with reasonable schedules

 

The cruise was a casino royale comp room.

 

charges thus far are:

-upgrade room fee, to add a child 

-pre-paid gratuities 

-port fees/taxes

-bev packages

-excursion 

 

If I cancel, do all of these get refunded?

or would I eat the room upgrade fee?

 

When would I have to cancel by?

 

What happens if we just “no show”?

 

We haven’t made a final decision, but flight options are getting progressively worse, not looking like it makes sense for us at this point 

 

Thanks for any experience on this, it’d be the first cruise I ever cancelled 😞

If you are not going to sail, then first cancel your prepaid items, such as beverage package and excursions.  If you don’t sail, you will automatically get back the port fees, taxes and prepaid gratuities.  So why not call Casino Royale and see what your options are?  Maybe they will let you transfer to another cruise or date.

You also should check the Air2Sea prices.

 

Prepaid items should go back to your credit card but much faster if you cancel them.  Note that this has to be done something like five days before sailing.

I’ll  reach out to Air2Sea, but I’m not holding my breath,,,I’ve looked at most options from my home airport and surrounding, as well as regional arrival airports. 

Planes are full, dynamic pricing has the few seats left at silly prices, not to mention schedules.

Spring break is fun,,,just don’t remember it being this tough, EVER.

the grats, bev pkg,excursion, you'll get all your money back if you cancel early.

 

don't know about casino points or upgrade to a casino room, but I'd call and talk to the casino people.

 

We got married during spring break on a cruise, and for our anniversary my wife always wants to cruise again....   and I keep asking myself WHY did we get married during spring break?!?!?!

The Bella cruise in my signature is march 12 on oasis out of miami. Its someone's birthday. I think we are also asking ourselves why are we flying in during spring break. Lol though we know why. ... but if my flight goes wrong I may be still asking lololol.... miami ...

It my birthday, my daughter's birthday, and our anniversary, all spring break week.   We tend to cruise every year and every year I cuss about the airfare and hotel rates.

I'm booked American. I was cussing but now the rates are so much worse. If both flights run smoothly I might stop worrying.  I'm in dallas and didnt want to park at love field. So my choices were even more limited. No SW.   Please please go smoothly.

I live 8 mins from DFW, so I avoid Love Field as well.  I do the DFW- MIA route often.  It's typically pretty reliable.

Spring break if I get bumped the other flights will be full. At least get me there. Home I'll cope lol.

We are cruising with friends in March. We booked before I looked at airfare. It will be a one and done for us in the future. $900 r/t p/p on SWA to Tampa is ridiculous.
