Cruise Insurance Question

Looking at a cruise in May to Alaska and not sure which cruise insurance to get.   Its not clear if covid related reasons to cancel are covered by the plan offered by Celebrity.  Wondered if anyone has experience with the Celebrity coverage  versus other plans.  Thanks for any help!

Most all Travel Insurance put in exceptions to Covid but they may be relaxing some as things have gotten better?

 Best to Call any provider and Ask ?

We are very happy with Steve Dasseos at tripinsurancestore.com. 
IMO, insuring a cruise with the cruise line isn’t the best option.

My impression is travel insurance is getting so complicated that you really need a very good TA to handle/understand it for you.

Travel insurance has always been complex. It is just that more people are finding that out as more are having to file claims for illness or travel disruptions.

 

Travel agents sell policies but often are not knowledgable about how they work. They are not travel insurance brokers, after all. If you want help finding the policy that best fits your needs and assistance with a claim if that becomes necessary, you should consider a licensed broker.  As cited in a previous post, many here on CC are happy with Trip Insurance Store.

I buy my Travel Insurance from a specialty provider.

 also for those who want Cancel for any Reason in their Insurance read the fine print.

 Most have a 48 hour before the policy takes effect cut off for CFAR claims.
