Don't want to hijack this great Live Post.    I have my cruises in my signature you may need to expand to see -  Next up April B2B TA one week in Amsterdam and then rejoin Apex for the British Isles Cruise

No problemo. I can feel the love they have for you and maybe some of it might rub off on me! 🤣😉

Speaking of bathrooms, there is a tub, but there was no stopper for the tub. No problemo. I found in my stash of assorted OTC drugs one that was a near perfect fit, wrapped some plastic wrap around it and wedged it in. I don't think a drop go by it. Maybe better that the real deal.

And a myth busted that has been busted before.

Yes but you are SPECIAL.     Loving the pictures.   I could see by your snacks on your blog that we share the same tastes in junk food.

Maybe I noticed it more as I am dieting after putting on 10 pounds over the Holidays something I try never to do -  I guess a cruise and the holidays a week later was too much for my willpower.

Suck up. 🙂

I gain more poundage posting food pictures. I need to step away occasionally to get back to normalish.

Happy to follow along and especially hear about your planning for Iguasu Falls.     Planning visiting them on a cruise in the next couple of years.

Great experience. Allow time to do both sides as they are totally different. Brazil side for the panoramic views, Argentina for the close ups - you stand above the falls. We stayed on the Argentine side and had a TBL Guide for 3 days ( originally it was 2). The Guide got us straight past all the lines at the borders (2 checks each way.)  Argentina side we didn't even get out of the van, at Brazil we walked past the lines. Day 1 we did Brazil then back for overnight. Day 2 Argentina side with the tour ending back at the airport. Knowing your passion for walking 2 days on the A side would probably be better for you. B side you just need 1 day as there is only 1 route to walk.

I perhaps should have taken a BA tour today, but didn't. Oh well. I did make up for lost sleep and have been mostly piddling in the air conditioned comfort of the hotel room. But I have done some stuff including processing of photos and practicing taking pictures of imaginary penguins. I also spent some time on the phone with T-Mobile straightening out some account stuff that was wrong - glad I did that before the cruise started. So one pro-tip of the day is have a international number for customer service you can call from just about anywhere. Dropping this here so if I need it again.

For T-Mobile

From your mobile device, dial +1-505-998-3793.
We won't charge you anything for this call, no matter where you are.

So back to yesterday...

Checking out the Sheraton Club that I have access to... Not bad.. I'll have to return later today. Beer and wine are complimentary, as are sodas, bottled waters, and coffees. and of course food. I didn't try any of the food. Keep forgetting I'm not on the cruise yet and there will be free food all over.

I’m going to be following along, we were on the Jan 14  Infinity sailing of this itinerary. We did a one night Iguazu Falls  trip after the cruise- fabulous! It was a wonderful cruise, filled with penguins, icebergs, , bumpy seas and so many wonderful memories! Bon Voyage!
(I picked up an unwelcome souvenir somewhere along the line.. I’ve spent the last week laying around recovering from Covid, just a word of warning, be careful, Covid is still hanging around)

I think your cruise got to tender in the Falklands and the next one missed the port. I like bumps but hope we get to the Falklands. I have plenty of warm layers so no worries about that. I am a little light on warm weather clothes, but can probably pick up a bunch of cheap, disposable tee shirts along the way.

Yes, we got in the Falklands, and went to Volunteer Point-, thats a day I will remember for the rest of my life! Thousands of King penguins walking, singing, feeding their chicks,. A beach that is the most beautiful stretch of sand that I have ever seen, almost like marble, with more penguins walking along and checking out the waters. Sheep and penguins sharing a hillside with each other. It was a long  bumpy ride, but so worth it!! The seas were kind to us that day, tendering was smooth and everyone made  it to their excursions. Stanley is a cute, very small town. Good souvenir shop there. Hate to disappoint, but I found few tshirt on this trip!

Warm layers are the key, you probably need fewer than you think. Just keep piling on whatever you have!
we truly had the Drake Shake. I found that the accupressure wristbands, (they sell them in the ships liquor store) to really help. I wasn’t the least bit nauseous, and as a car sick kind of person, that's saying a lot!

Be sure to check out Celia’s daily  briefings  in the theater, or on your tv, she really is very enlightening and entertaining!

I was delighted to read that Celia would also be on our cruise. It didn't occur to me that they will be shown on the TV (makes sense). Just in case I'm winning in the casino (fat chance) when she's live or if no seats are left.

Yes, Cecelia’s  presentation was standing room only during the early part of the cruise. Later on, after we lost the satellite feed when leaving Ushuaia(and never re established) ,her daily presentation was  one of the very few options on the tv!  Btw, the internet reception was very limited through out the cruise.

I guess it was smoke that I was seeing earlier. It did mostly clear up later in the day.

"The smell of smoke that is felt in Buenos Aires at the moment is due to fires in fields, due to the significant drought that is going through a large part of the country. The good thing is that when we return, on February 25, the temperatures are expected to be more pleasant."
