Booking your own cruise with Casino free offer - Princess

I logged into my account with Princess.  I like to check the pricing and availability on cabins because of their new bidding system.

I went to "plan a cruise" and selected our cruise in April it came up with 0 (zero) cost for inside, and balcony.  I clicked on balcony, it showed all cabins were guaranteed, so I just clicked on it and it said my cost was $690 -   $200 pp deposit and $145 pp for port tax = $690.  I don't know which offer it would be using, we currently have several, but that is the first time that it has happened.  It said I could add the plus package - which our current offers do not include plus package, only free cabin, casino play.

I might consider trying to book a cruise this way instead of trying to get the casino department to answer the phone.  I am going to check with the future cruise department when we are on board in April

All cabins were guaranteed ?  That is an issue for all of us who like particular cabin or like us want to upgrade to suites. I am betting that if you add plus it will increase the price

the reason they are guaranteed for that cruise is that it is 67 days out.  I have not tried a different cruise to see what would be allowed.

Yes the plus package would increase the price.

I have booked casino comp cruises over 6 months out and been able to choose my own suite

i tried to book online this morning, to see if it worked.  So, all cruises were 0 inside cabin, but I purposely checked 2 cruises that were for 2 different offers, to see if the booking would be using these offers. No, they didn't offer according to what I have.  Strangely, I tried one and it gave me up to balcony, which is correct, but it also gave me Princess Plus, which I don't have.  Hmmmm. With so many offers, not sure how they are going to do this.

the puzzle of comped cruises is always changing.  Carnival is now offering its Ultimate with only a discount (no more free cruises).  I was told about a year ago, I could book ANY cruise (balcony) on Princess up to 19 days for taxes and fees only.  We have 4 comped cruises booked but NONE of them come with Princess Plus. . . Not a big deal as we are also Elite and we’re not big drinkers.  But, in general, the offers seem to be diminishing in quality.

Just tried it right now. I have one offer from the mail and several online, they are expired tomorrow. I decided to take a chance and do it online since I won't have the time to wait for an hour on call with the casino rep. Booked 2 btb for Sun Princess Europe summer 2024, turned out they did apply one of my offer correctly. My guess is they applied the same offer to these bookings so I only have 1 free play, but free room on both.

I'll take it for now especially if that means I can do the booking during my leisure instead of fighting on hold forever...

You've posted that before, but need more details.....

Are you booking a Princess "Discounted" Casino offer?

I've TRIED getting CVP and have been told they Don't do that on COMP cruises.

Please give more info.... What phone# or Who are you calling?

What KIND of Casino offer is CVP booking For you?  Thanks

I am calling my CVP directly. She tells me any offer I get via email or snail mail she can book for me rather than go through casino department   I have not yet tested this since I have all my cruises booked for 2023

memoak, Maybe were splitting hairs here...

I'm Not asking for your personal TA phone #.

I'm Not asking for your persons name, or extension.

IF you are booking thru a PRINCESS TA, sometimes called PVP or CVP,

can you Please Post PHONE # you are calling?

Or, if anyone else has experience with this, please post correct phone#. Thank you

For Princess casino discounted cruise - generally sent as  ‘sail & play’ e mail -You can sign into your Princess account and book online directly. If you have offers it will reflect in the fare you see. Yes, Princess CVP can book these for you if you want. These are NOT comp cruises.

For comp cruises I think you have  to call casino department   1-888-772-6697.

Yes they are comp cruises. I just booked a 16 day Hawaii trip with free balcony upgraded to a full suite while on the Emerald Princess. Yes it was like pulling teeth since they are not used to doing them but it got done and now transferred to my CVP.

So it looks like Princess IT and the Medalion upgrade has finally start to show its' results. My last 7 casino bookings are done directly through their website, surprisingly even including Come Back and Sail offer (2 business days after).
By my count, I should have no more casino offer available - but it does look like I can still book for free cruises though the availability is not across the board. For example, 7 days European sailing (Sun Princess) for summer 2024 is full price, while 15 days Japan sailing is still free for me.

I wonder if Princess Casino offer finally available online just like Holland... that would be nice.

🤞that this is not just pure luck tonight 😅

I just email my CVP. Easy as pie. Sure beats calling the casino number. I just had her change 3 upcoming cruises to casino comps and saved $9,000. We take the free balcony and then upgrade to full suites

Wow, I didn't know you can change your booking offer. I assumed that's from regular booking to casino?

Yes on 2 cruises one Alaska and one Hawaii   They were booked awhile ago when there was no offer on those cruises. She was able to not only apply casino rates but in the case of Alaska move is from a forward suite to an aft suite

This sounds so promising.  I’m going to call the regular Princess line and see if they can correct my next comped cruise.  The confirmation clearly states Princess Plus but the cruise personalizer shows it as Standard.  I guess I could wait to get it fixed on board but it makes me nervous to wait until then!

Took about 3 weeks for the Plus and OBC showed up.  Only found it when I went to my booked cruise and clicked on on board activities.  Scrolled to bottom and there it was.   No updated email sent
