I had a list of the shows I wanted to see and booked the morning they became available. As soon as you board, go to the Box Office or your app and see if there are any available bookings. If not, show up to the show you want to see 15 minutes before showtime because some people never show up. But for now, keep checking your app. More reservations may be released. For me, I wanted to take the train ride in St. Kitts, but waited to long to book. Only 1 spot was available, but I kept checking everyday. Finally, 3 spots appeared and I was ready to take 2 of them. Good luck!!!

So people get on, hoard all the reservations and see every show. This will be my second time on oasis class with no shows or real bad seats if we standby. Rccl needs to change this. Limit to x advance reservations pp and book the rest on board or standby.
topanga49er Posted February 12, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 12, 2023 Hi. I know, its frustrating. If I didn't see someone on my roll call (3/19) say that entertainment was open, I wouldn't have known. That said, go to the royal theatre when you get on board or see what opens on the app and there should be plenty to reserve. Avoid guest services first day at all costs unless you have a super early boarding time. The other thing you can do is call online number, press the prompts for pre cruise planning and see what they can do. Hopefully that helps. Of course if in a suite the concierge desk can get you in. Before the Covid shutdown, entertainment on Oasis class/Quantum class would open up as far out as 90 days because they'd release them on a 'rolling schedule' where they'd open up several sailings in a row. So for some sailings it would open up a full month before other sailings. I'm wondering if they are back to doing 'rolling' releases, just not as broad as before. I know I'll be stalking way in advance since it only take a second to check.

Just go to the cruise then there is a section for entertainment. You can also do it from the daily calendar.
Bead Pirate Posted February 12, 2023 #12 Share Posted February 12, 2023 I am on this sailing as well, it is a packed ship with Spring Break, St Patty's Day and an unusual number of gamblers... This is a very busy gambling cruise; a lot of the high roller (and high maintenance) types are on board to make the big push to end of earning period (end of March). The casino can see us coming on the advance sheets and they know to hold back some reservations for dinners and shows...

What makes it worse is that the ship is just over a year old so you can book it as we did on a casino offer.

Others are too tired and are no-shows or what ever reason they don't show. We got into many shows by doing the standby wait line. Good seats? Heck no! topanga49er Posted February 13, 2023 #15 Share Posted February 13, 2023 Just looked on the royal website, not app and went into cruise planner. A few days ago my 3/19 cruise showed sold out, but now it has openings for everything except the comedy show. Try checking back for your 3/12 cruise often... resetjet Posted March 19, 2023 Author #16 Share Posted March 19, 2023 UPDATE: We got on board and immediately booked shows. It was not perfect as we had to do 2 in one night, and missed out on some, but we checked off enough boxes. People who did not do this were not so lucky. I still say they need to limit the number a room can book before the cruise.
