Holidays on board the ships

I just realized we will be on board during St. Patrick’s Day, does princess do anything special?   Should I pack my green accessories?  Past cruisers please inform as this is my first princess cruise.

You will definitely see *some* cruisers commemorating the day...not all by any means.  Depending on the itinerary you might see more.  If you feel so inclined...by all means...throw in some green!

I haven't been on a cruise for St. Patrick's Day, but I've seen the ship decorated for Valentine's Day and Easter.  They start decorating for Christmas in the second week of December!

Nothing much for St Patricks day.

We will be board for New Year's Eve.  This is a first for us.  Does anyone know what Princess does for this?

We were on the Sky for this past New Year's and it was a great evening.  Hats, etc. were available when you went for dinner and lots of opportunities for pictures in the Piazza to mark the occassion.  They did a countdown for the UK (we were in the Caribbean) and a huge deck party that evening for the local countdown.  It was our first New Year's on Princess and we would definitely consider it again.

No, it was not but many dressed up.

This was many years ago, but they had a St Patrick’s Day Casino hot seat contest.
