We were elite plus on C...once they introduced the class system, we could no longer tolerate the food for those in regular balconies

The MDR food on Celebrity has even gotten worse post covid with cost reductions and add on costs.  That was why we have booked only suites to have access to Luminae, but even Luminae has gone down in quality.

Right now the lectures on Viking sky, very boring and poorly attended...the roof over the pool stays closed as it is not secure when open, it is stifling...much of the food is not edible...yes of course that is subjective...

Can't understand that you enjoy food on celeb unless you are in a suite with separate dining venues...and paying for a suite is more than being on O, and you are still with the bratty kids all over the place...

I'm a Zenith on Celebrity with over 100 X cruises. I took Oceania Riviera and Viking Neptune for comparison and found the food and entertainment on Viking. The theater in Oceania was subpar and there were very few speakers. The lectures on Viking were excellent.  Both are beautiful ships with great crew. The officers were not as visible as Celebrity. There is more to do on Celebrity, but the cost, IMHO, has risen to the point where other lines are a reasonable alternative.

Celebrity has raised their entry level sky suites 30-40% in the last year and it makes a Concierge Level verandah on O very competitive. We booked an A3 Concierge cabin for 18 days on the Marina in March 2025 for $200pp less than a Sky Suite on the Equinox for only 14 days. This itinerary is from Santiago to Buenso Aires. Our Edge Sky Suite next January to cruise New Zealand has gone up $2200pp in cost since we booked it in January 2022.

We have been on an O ship since things have opened up, 3 times, each one better than the one before....2 transatlantic and a Carib...

Now we won't sail any other line...

By the way, on V, all the utensils are out and you serve yourself in the buffet...everyone touching them...

On O, you are served and offered help to bring it to table ...if you should need it...
