From the earnings call: “With our full fleet back to the high seas, we significantly ramped up occupancy levels, carrying nearly 1.7 million guests; welcomed our newest ship, Norwegian Prima, to our world-class fleet, reached several critical financial inflection points, maintained our industry-leading pricing

“We then shifted our focus to relaunching our operations while providing our discerning guests the same unparalleled vacation experience they expect from our leading brands. We also took this unique opportunity to raise the bar on pricing for the long term

I have a feeling that as long as we all keep plunking our money down and accepting less for our money, he will continue. Since they have done the "free" at sea with the beverage package and free specialty dining, We have not tried the other lines. Then we earned platinum status, and got 2 more specialty dinners. If they ever drop the free at sea deals, I think they would lose a lot of customers. I understand the "free at sea is not really free, but we do enjoy the beverages and specialty dining perks.

Don't the following equate to "more for our money?"

They have for me.  When we first sailed a person had to take out a second mortgage to add on unlimited drinks and specialty dining.  Back then we sailed inside and didn't get any of those without paying extra.

Kevin Sheehan brought NCL from what was the lowest regarded cruise line to one that after his magic fared favorably with other mainstream lines.  Leave Frank with the luxury brands and get Sheehan back at the helm of NCL.

I agree 100%. Unfortunately, Kevin Sheehan has ventured out on his own .We are stuck with Del, Rio and his service reduction plan.Pay more get less.

No one is truly "stuck". Plenty of other vendors who travel to the same locations. I understand what you mean.

"raise the bar on pricing"?  What does that mean?  Raise prices and lower deliverables?

NCL can raise the bar on pricing all they want. I'm Saphire with 32 cruises. All out of NYC. Just booked a May cruise on MSC out of Brooklyn O/V room with drink package and unlimited WIFI for the two of us. No additional service fee on drink package. Total fare $1695.00 "all in" for the two of us.

Then in October "free casino" cruise on Carnival Venezia out of NYC. Their Costa by Carnival ship. Both now cruising year round out of NY. Going to take a year off NCL and see what happens in 2025...

We are Saphire on NCL and. Diamond. on MSC. I think we get more for buck on MSC

MSC gave us a loyalty match of  Gold to my NCL Saphire .  Getting the 5% discount on my May cruise was worth the 5 minutes effort to apply for their loyalty program.

It looks like Mr. Del Rio IS "leading the industry" after all...I see on the Royal board that they also have reduced steward to once a day on top of recent DSC increase.  I guess other lines will follow soon.

....and "leading the industry" with recurring, last minute itinerary changes in the name of green initiatives, unforeseen circumstances and port congestion. Here's one for next week's sailing on Norwegian Joy. They eliminate Roartan and make a 6 am arrival in Cozumel.

Stuck in the sense that Del Rio is the CEO

you cannot change that. we use different cruise  lines depending on itinerary and  cost.
