USB ports on Norwegian Star

Are there usb ports by the bed on Norwegian Star? On one video I saw it said they did, but others didn't mention it. We are in a sideways inside cabin if that matters.

I was in a porthole oceanview cabin, and there were no outlets at all near the bed (USB or regular plug).

None on the Star. New ships and the ones that were dry-docked in last 3 years (and had staterooms renovated) should have USB ports by bed.

From a Cybersecurity perspective, you should never plug a device into a public USB port.

 

That includes shopping malls, airports, and... yes... even cruise ship cabins. 

 

Since people blindly plug their devices into these ports, it is a good target for someone wanting quick cash to doctor them to push malware into devices plugged in. 

 

Always use your power plug and never an untrusted USB port.

Balcony rooms on the Star had USB ports in the bedside lamps plus 2 more at the desk.  Can't speak to other categories.

USB ports are in the bedside lamps as well as in another location.  During the last renovation they were installed in all staterooms on the Star.

 

At 1:30 into following video of regular Star inside stateroom you can see the lamp USB ports.

Thanks to all. I always over plan. This will be our first inside cabin in at least 15 years. Very port intensive cruise around Ireland, so we thought we would try it.

bring a couple of long 3 outlet 2 wire extension cords.

You can also buy charge only USB cables, some people buy them by mistake! 🙂
