USB ports on Norwegian Star

From a Cybersecurity perspective, you should never plug a device into a public USB port.

 

That includes shopping malls, airports, and... yes... even cruise ship cabins. 

 

Since people blindly plug their devices into these ports, it is a good target for someone wanting quick cash to doctor them to push malware into devices plugged in. 

 

Always use your power plug and never an untrusted USB port.

USB ports are in the bedside lamps as well as in another location.  During the last renovation they were installed in all staterooms on the Star.

 

At 1:30 into following video of regular Star inside stateroom you can see the lamp USB ports.

Thanks. I was only going to use it for my USB fan that I use at night.
