Halifax NS driving suggestions?

We have one day in port - have hired a car from 9a - 4:30p.  We have previously driven to LaHave ferry, Lunenberg, Mahone Bay and seen the Titanic graveyard. 

 

Any recommendations if we travel the other way towards Seaforth or Lawrencetowns - looking for pretty towns that serve a good lobster rolls and good photo opportunities !  Thanks

Have you been to Halifax more than once?  Have you spent a day near the port rather than going out of town?  There are so many nice things to see and do right there at the port; I wonder if you will be missing a good day there by going elsewhere.

We are actually visiting Halifax twice b2b so will do the city on the 2nd visit; but this first time we are with friends who want to see countryside

May I suggest that you head Northeast to the Wolfville area and to the Grand Pre UNESCO World Heritage site which is around a one hour drive from Halifax across the countryside. Of course it is wine country so make sure your driver stays dry.🙂
