I'm only a tiny bit jealous but a few weeks ago my partner had 2500 points added to his voyagers account

Last cruise was October got a few booked this year. I haven't received any.

Anyone else rewarded random points for nothing?

Have you prepaid something for a cruise this year?
In your Account you can see your points and cruises, so you know why he had 2500 points more.

Yes not being petty but the prebooked stuff was done on my account. In his voyagers account there is no description as to what the points are for.

Over the years both myself and DH have had points added that we had no idea why. No idea if it’s still happening as I don’t keep a check anymore.  Any points beyond the 10000 required for the Diamond level are worthless.

This. So many times I've had to fight with MSC to get the points owed to me, and when I get them they are almost always more than they should be. Sometimes by 2x.

Not sure why the OP would expect MSC to do this correctly when they fail at almost everything else.

But like @Beamafar said, anything over 10K is meaningless so...

We're only Gold so want to get to diamond

Yes - I can understand, when you’re aiming for the next level up, that all points are valuable to you.  Sometimes, though, there is just no explanation for random points.

Glad to know it's not just me it happens to.i wouldn't mind some free extra points nit that being diamond is that much different to being Gold really except a free bottle of fizz and 1 free dinning

I know on these forums we seem to love to hate MSC but I really don't think they're customer service is that bad. I was very happy booking some of my cruises how happy they were to negotiate on price.

MSC is crazy with this stuff. I'm Diamond mostly because they have credited my casino purchases (on all but 2 sailings). In November I received 0 points from casino purchases nor onboard spending. I was in a solo cabin so it definitely didn't go to someone else. I'm Diamond already so there was no need to complain. Point is that anything related to MSC and customer service just does not exist (except onboard where I think the staff is amazing).

I am still wishing for a higher tier than Diamond but yeah, not looking like it will happen especially with the current Diamond tier being so watered down on my Meraviglia cruise last month.  I still check mine, hitting 30,000, no reason why other than I just wish they would do another tier. 😂

Even if they acknowledged each 10000 point milestone with an onboard gesture - a higher discount off laundry (it’s 15% for Diamond members), a nicer bottle of Prosecco, perhaps.   Would it really cost them that much??  🤔
