Beautiful afternoon, sitting in Friday rush hour traffic on the Dallas North Tollway heading to B’s. Working on getting the mindset right with this musical tribute to 3 and 4 day sailings post COVID

We have a lot of great restaurants in Dallas, but we’re not really a pizza town. But if there’s anything you could call “Dallas style” pizza, it’s Campisis Egyptian. IYKYK. It’s pure nostalgia for me, and we decided to treat ourselves, order in, and have a little fattening kinda night to kick off vacay. (not pictured, Uncle Joe’s garlic toast) 

 

My next pizza will be onboard Glory!

Security line wasn’t bad. TSA is freaking out because apparently nine school buses full of high schoolers on some sort of class trip just pulled up. The buzz is palpable.

never seen a big line of people waiting for the food court to open. The lines at Dunkin and Starbucks put this to shame.

Thing about an early flight is that I miss my airport bar time. A tradition unlike any other.

Made it to my gate. It’s eerily quiet for an airport. I’ve been here a million times and I’ve never heard it like this. You know, except for the one woman speaking at full volume complaining about everyone at her work. I can hear her from across the gate.

The Richmond Spiders tennis team is at my gate. They’ve had some big selection sundays over the years so this is a big week for them

I go for early flights in hopes to avoid crowds😱

I’d go hungry before I’d stand in that line

It’s no airport cocktail, but it’s a 3.75 Coke Zero out of a vending machine!

Omg… close the doors close the doors…. I swear there are like two empty seats on this bird and one is next to me…. 
 

 

if this is any indication of my Luck this week, I’m headed right to the casino.
