How do they clean the floors in that place? It looks like there’s been a powdered sugar blizzard and they just opened!

Lots of St.Paddy’s day green about. There are a couple of parades today. New Orleans doesn’t need much of an excuse to have a parade tbh.

Gonna sit in the lobby a bit and sip on this coffee. I’m absolutely beat. Hoping I have some luck on this room soon so I can get a nap and rest up for the drinkin’ part of the day.

I was just going to tell you the Irish Channel Parade is today at 1! It's all uptown. You'll need to catch an Uber if you want to go but some of the crowd heads to Bourbon after.

My favorite part of sailing from NOLA. Or one of them. We would always drive overnight so the kids would sleep most of the way and arrive just after dawn for beignets by the river and watching the ships arrive. Great memories and now I want beignets😂.

So I saw some folks checking in and getting room keys, so while I thought for a moment that I was getting hosed for booking through Priceline, I snapped out of that and headed to the desk. The guy said I could check in, but my room wasn’t ready and they just had one with two beds that was accessible and not renovated. MY BROTHER IN CHRIST, THAT MATTERS NOT TO ME. YOU HAD ME AT ROOM. #LFG

it’ll do fine. Downtown New Orleans hotels are a different animal, and by that standard this is just fine, even settling for the “lesser” room. I CAN NAP IN IT!!!

Also, I LOVE this. Got hooked on it with the Ivy and Rose text concierge at Caesars properties and the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas respectively. It’s so convenient to do any and everything with the hotel via text tool. I dig it. 
 

 

there’s an indoor pool here down on 8 (I’m on 14, btw), but it’s not that kinda day. We’ll save that for Glory. Time to nap so very hard and get back to feeling human again for the afternoon run!

As little sleep as I’m running on, I can’t get there. I laid, I relaxed, I showered, I chilled as hard as one man can, but I can’t doze. Thinking it’s about time to power through, get some drinks, and just make it an early one.

Had no idea what that odd circular area I Could see from my window was. Turns out it’s a little Italian style plaza. I’ve never seen this before.
