Prime Free cruise

Hi

I just made Prime so am waiting for me free cruise certificate next month,  was wondering, I know its valid on any cruise 7 nights and under, but do the casino pull from different inventory that what you normally book for cash.  I.e If there is an interior to book online, can I assume I will be able to use my certificate on this or will the Casino say that it's not available etc.

Also do you know if you can upgrade to an ocean view, if so is the cost just the difference in fare I see online?

Can't say for sure, but it sounded to me via the agent on the phone - that when applying an annual cert, they tend to just pull from the main inventory.  Main reason is that many itineraries are simply not on the casino offer list anyway.  But that being said, if you have a cabin in mind - simply tell them that upfront before they start typing, they will do what they can to find/book it.

Keep in mind that people and TAs can do "holds" on cabins, so if really set on a cabin number and they say not available - ask if it is booked or just on hold.  Or ask for what best advice to call back and check a day or two later.  Looking at you Navigator 7688 and all its sisters.

There are also times even when general availability exists, that CR may not have anymore cabins available to be used for comp's on that particular sailing.

Yes.  I ran into this recently.  I wanted to use an instant comp for a sailing on Explorer (we already have a casino comp on the following cruise. so this would have given us a B2B).  The EX sailng had already reached "max comps" so they wouldn't let us book.  Bummer

Ugh, that would have been nice.

When does the offer become available? Not seeing it when I go to clubroyaleoffers.com. Thanks.

It will generally become available by April 15 but there is no set date for these to be published.

Thanks. Will it pop up at clubroyaleoffers? Do they send a mailer? Email? Relatively new to Royal and Prime.

I used to get a mailer, but not lately.  I have to go to the CR website to see what is available.

Along the lines of this question...

I know that the casino comps do not  typically allow you to upgrade to a GTY room, but it seems like the inventory is different for the annual prime cruise.  I want to add my kids to the room, but the cost for a "choose your own room" for 4 is astronomical on our preferred sailing.  Can a GTY room be booked for the annual cruise?
