Rare little britain Posted April 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2023 Advice please: we are flying to Singapore immediately after a cruise - there is a flight at 12.30 or one at 17:00... I have heard of delays to ships coming back into Sydney due to customs 🛃 or sometimes weather 🌊 : so should we go for the 17:00 one and be safe... and if we do what can we do all day with our luggage? Thanks ps: the cruise is to NZ if that effects the 🛃 customs entry?
yarramar Posted April 2, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2023 I would not be comfortable having to be at the airport at 9.30-10.00am for an international flight after disembarking from a cruise. A 5.00pm flight means being at the airport at 2.00pm. It will not be "all day". You will have enough time for a pleasant lunch before leaving for the airport 1
matamanoa Posted April 2, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2023 We speak from experience. Take the later flight!
The_Big_M Posted April 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2023 12:30 is possible, but you need to hurry, and it doesn't give you much contingency if anything goes wrong (doesn't happen often, but can and has happened). Whereas 5 is much more comfortable, so I'd be choosing that.

cruiseaholic78 Posted May 3, 2023 #7 Share Posted May 3, 2023 Admittedly our flight was not until 21:30, we booked a dayroom use (with pool) at the airport and were pleased with this, so maybe this is another option to consider. https://www.google.nl/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwirzrSwxtj-AhXL16QKHb17AnEQFnoECBAQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dayuse.com%2Fs%2Faustralia%2Fnew-south-wales%2Fsydney%2Fsydney-airport&usg=AOvVaw1AwUQCzYrpAmTZ12LMWTSh

I did that once in Singapore and a cold pool and a cold drink never felt so good!
