Booking future cruises onboard

I'm doing my first P&O cruise in April.  I am already planning a 40th P&O cruise trip for 2024.  I understand you can book future cruises onboard and sometimes get better deals or extras like onboard credit.

My question is whether anyone has experience of booking mulitple cabins this way? Does everyone in cabins benefit from freebies?  Do you need all passengers info like DOB and passport no?  Is this a terrible plan?  Any tips greatly appreciated!  Looking to book 5+ cabins.

You certainly will not need passport details when booking on board but I suspect that names and DOBs will be required especially if there are any children involved.

I see no reason why you should not get whatever deal that is on offer for all cabins but your best bet is to go along and talk to the. One thing that I would suggest is to talk to one of the specialist cruise agents before you go as they may be able to offer a better deal with booking that number of cabins.

Like all of these things it is better to go armed with as much information as you can.

If you have a discounted price before you go they will probably match it and you will still get the extra OBC and £50.deposit

We tried that last November.  They said they couldn't do it because the T & Cs for booking on board are different, namely the reduced deposit and extra OBC.  Did our sums, took a chance and booked anyway and took it up with the price match team.  Same answer.   Might still be worth giving it a go.  T & Cs get amended.

Thanks. That is worth knowing. So you would have to have prices ready to work out the best deal
