There's a thread on a different media group about a current sailing that received a letter stating there were too many Diamond/Plats on board so they were suspending certain perks like priority boarding, past guest party, diamond captains lunch/brunch, etc.

Too much of a good thing became commonplace??

I think it is on the Pride TA and I think it is only with respect to embark/debark and tender.

If they do it on my cruise...well, I am leaving from Barcelona so don't really care if I get on the ship first or not.  There is way more to do and see in Barcelona than on the Carnival Pride so I have no reason to rush to get on the ship.  As for the ports, I don't think there are any are any tender ports on my sailing so not worried about that. Only thing I would be upset about having taken away would be my free laundry...

Congrats!  Laundry done for you and folded is the best, have fun!

Honestly, that's the number 1 thing I am excited about.  No more hanging out in the laundry room.  And we have to adjoining rooms with a platinum in each room so that = 6 bags of laundry done!

Pride Apr 13th and Spirit Apr 16th. Correct only embark/debark. Journeys cruises...not the first time. Makes sense, the whole damn boat can't have priority! 😂

I know the feeling, we leave in 2 weeks on the Horizon where we will be admitted to the rarified air of the platinum cruisers! Really looking forward to learning the secret handshake etc.😂 I am looking forward to priority boarding and free laundry and the $25 casino money may come in handy too!

I am in the same club, Platinum on the next cruise.  Glory on May 14.  DW took a trip without me, and has been Platinum for  a while.  Laundry is the big perk, less to pack, carry, lug through airports and on and off the ship.

Haha, I was soooo excited to turn Platinum.  We were set to turn platinum on a Norwegian Fjords cruise in June of 2020.  The COVID happened.  Rescheduled for the same cruise again for 2021.  Cancelled again because of COVID.  We finally made platinum on our Alaska cruise in 2022 after all that waiting and you know what?  We forgot all about the Platinum/Diamond party and actually missed it!!!  I was so mad.  Cruising again in June and going to try my best to not let that happen again, lol.

I hear ya.  My son got Covid on my first platinum cruise and I forgot almost every perk.  Got my free brunch drink and that was it.  I was particularly sad about the pin. I intentionally skipped the party as at that point I had a bit of a sore throat myself.
