For the sake of accuracy, it just says "I Love This", not "I Love This Boat".

SO...it could be: "I love this boat", "I love this lifestyle", I love these people", "I love cruising"...

I just like to say I Love You Guys and all my friends at Cruise Critic especially the ones who enjoy my sense of humor 🥰🥰🥰

Tony,

The Captain Of The Rowboat 🚣‍♀️

Princess specifically uses the "I Love This BOAT" slogan in their new commercials for this ad campaign.  The "boat" part uses a font that is akin to the font used in The Love Boat TV show of yesteryear.  See the YouTube video below from the official Princess YouTube page around the 25 second mark.

"You can put a boat on a ship, but you can't put a ship on a boat."

I've never understood this phrase since the size of vessels has increased over time.  A vessel large enough to be a "ship" in 1940 might be small enough to be a "boat" now, given the size of the USS Gerald Ford.  Surely there must be some empirical distinction, no?

Random thought.... I wonder why they opted for the slogan, "I Love This Boat," as opposed to "I Love This Ship"?  I know so many crew love to jokingly correct passengers everything they say "boat," as they say this is not a boat it is a shop.

It's a play on The Love Boat.  The show wasn't called The Love Ship.

So we still "sail" aboard a ship powered by internal combustion engines? 🤔

Yes we do. It's a word that has evolved from its roots.

OR... (as opposed to "oar") you could consider the LONG TERM perspective...

"You can put a boat on a ship, but you can't put a ship on a boat."  I guess you could say "I love this tender."

I think most folks would consider the USS Cole a ship...

The SMIT Blue Marlin is just bigger.
