Horizons on 14 has what I would call separators.  They no longer serve coffee or pastries in morning, only a bar.

Thanks for the info.  Could you show some of Horizons?

I hope these “separators” don’t spoil the sweeping view seen on the ‘R’  class ships..

And no coffee machine? That’s a let down…

I enjoy my coffee there at each dawn…

i guess I will just have to tote it from the Terrace…

Must disagree. The walk-in closet on the Marina and Riv.iera are dark, and no larger in utility than the Vista’s 2 closets. With the mirror in between and the ceiling lighting they seem airy, with lots of room. Perhaps not as much floor space but certainly lots of long and medium hanger space. Look forward to using them on May 20th.

Sorry, but a walk-in closet hides all the "stuff" you toss in there and keeps the rest of the cabin neat. It also doubles as a dressing room and a place to store your luggage.

THIS!  Exactly!

Oh, how wonderful that big closet is, for a multitude of sins, er, uses! 😁

So nice to push <whatever> in there quickly, and... shut the door.

And voila!  It's gone....!

And the suite looks just wonderful, all nice and neat.

And yes, the luggage, too.  So convenient.

We will *really* miss that closet, in it's old configuration.

ChadnKate:   When Riviera went in for her update last fall, one of the things that improved in the PH’s walk in closet was the bar holding the clothes  that lights up when you touch a hanger, making it easier to view your clothing.   For me, the walk in closet on Riviera and Marina is where I would change early morning while spouse slept and I didn’t disturb him.  It was also convenient as a phone booth (we both still work) and we had a Zoom call.

The dressing room aspect of the old PH walk-in closets is not so good. Low intensity lighting plus no mirror inside does not a good dressing room make.

Well, if you're a guy, mirror and lighting don't matter.😆

Didn’t know they improved the lighting in the Riviera closets. Have spent many weeks with the closets before.

Pictures of Horizons - no coffee or pastries in morning.  They are in the expanded Barristas with the bakery.   Lots of big windows in Horizons but you see the segmentation with the lights above.  Tonight is Captains Welcome party and stage is more to the starboard side with the expanded bar on the port side as you immediately walk in.   There is only one entrance.   As you get off elevator, on starboard side is Artist Loft, the the new LYNC internet area, then a large training room of sorts next to that then the smoking lounge (I will post those pictures next) then walk into Horizons.5485F130-AB06-46C1-9CBE-D9078916322A.thumb.jpeg.b05ad9e29d50c66301fe782b4125cd1b.jpeg35C6D57A-462F-4F24-9482-33720D54B839.thumb.jpeg.8683e0a0af93b08df5312aefa338ca51.jpeg98A20F19-E75A-42CD-956D-A7F15D3C1526.thumb.jpeg.0e648edf0aaa00b225eab75de13cda20.jpegBF5EA643-EF92-49D5-9C03-9B432C88FC9B.thumb.jpeg.8f63c21c89119892c114c963a494310c.jpeg3D6533F8-593C-426C-BE9A-2246417EF958.thumb.jpeg.86fc36a799e8a7b93856a3b48a7fdda2.jpeg

Those chairs in the first picture above surround the stage/dance floor.

the first three pictures are the entrance to Smoking lounge.   There are double doors and it has a very speak easy vibe to it.  At the moment, I am not sure where the outdoor smoking area is.

I stand corrected on internet connection - it is 1 log in per cabin except the Vista, Oceania and Owners suites who get 2 log-ins.
This is the LYNC room (aka computer center).

apparently they also loan out iPads image.thumb.jpg.dca5359079a4b99f3db645e861f35320.jpg

Really dull question but kind of useful to know. What and how many electrical sockets have you got in your PH2. Are they US, EUR? Also what is there in terms of USB sockets? Will be joining next week and want to check if I need to do a quick run to the hardware store.

Curious how they will handle "chair hogs" with  what looks like such limited shade

SLW207693 thank you for the pics and info. When walking into Horizons do you get the stench from the smoking room?

I am actually shocked that they have a smoking lounge. Most lines only allow it in a certain outdoor areas, which is in my opinion the right thing to do. No way can you open a door to any smoking lounge and not have smoke escape.

From those pics it looks like Embers has table cloths.  Mock up pics we saw previously it looked like bare tables.  A little nicer in my opinion.

We just left Embers after a wonderful meal. Commented about the napkins, that we had been referring to as blankets. Probably 24-30" by 18". We were told they came about because they did not have tablecloths, and that the big napkins provided modesty for ladies with shorter dresses.

That closet in the PH is a HUGE mistake. Reminiscent of something you'd find on a mass market line. What a shame.

That's too bad. I LOVED the walk in closet on the Riviera.
