Tomorrow is La Coruna, where we have nothing planned. I think we’re going to use it as a rest day, just walk around town a bit, but sleep in some and unwind. It’s been very go go go since Barcelona. But first, Vigo! And Chef’s Table tonight! I just had commented the same thing to my husband that the cruisers still had a whole week left. He looked at me with his serious face and said don't get any ideas, keep reading, that's as close as you are getting🧐 2
SDPadreFan Posted June 2, 2023 #1915 Share Posted June 2, 2023 When I retired from the Navy after 24 years (in 1998), my wife started talking about going on a cruise. I told her I had been on lots of cruises (in the Navy) and they really weren't a lot of fun. Yeah, that didn't go over too well. So in 1999, we took our first cruise "together" on the Celebrity Mercury (7 day Western Caribbean) and we've been cruising ever since. Nothing better in the world than sunrise out on deck at sea.

But first, Vigo! And Chef’s Table tonight! La Coruña was one of our favorite ports from our Pride cruise last summer. We walked to Hercules Tower, but didn't buy tickets to go up. We just wandered the grounds for free. Then we walked back through town, stopping at an amazing restaurant for lunch. We still rave over the mejillones (mussels) from that day! I had always wanted to cruise but husband didn't want to after a going on a smallish gambling boat and being miserably seasick the whole time. Finally he agreed 6 years ago to try again so we took our first cruise in our late 50s. Of course he loved it. But you can be sure he's reminded quite regularly about all the years we wasted and what a chore it is playing catch up😁
Hogladyrider Posted June 2, 2023 #1921 Share Posted June 2, 2023 @TxTeach79....seems like you are having a FANTASTIC time making lifetime memories! From following along virtually it appears that folks residing on the "other side of the pond" live a much less stressed life than here in the good ol USA, what is your opinion? Also did you see that @MeganGC1983...started her LIVE and hasn't left OK yet and has BA woes! Flying international these days seems to be a huge dilema!

I know there’s been discussion on what the male version of a Karen is (Terry, Ken, Chad…IMHO a male Karen is still just a Karen.) Rare TxTeach79 Posted June 2, 2023 Author #1925 Share Posted June 2, 2023 Ahhhh…. Nice little down time in the cabin was just what we needed. Now for chefs table! I assumed it would be in the nightclub as it has been on spirit class ships, but John Heald just posted this on his pride refurb post, so maybe not?
