Booking in CAD

Hi, is it possible to book excursions/internet and be charged in CAD, to avoid the foreign fee. I think I've read it's possible but unsure how to do it?  TIA.

I don't really know - but I just paid for the HIA and the price given was CAD.

No, there’s no way around it unless you have a US$ credit card which are affiliated with all our major banks here.

HIA is priced in Canadian dollars if your booking is in Cdn $.  It is part o the booking.

I don't think so.

 

You can book the cruise, pay for HIA and prepaid gratuities in CAN$ but everything else will be in USD.

 

EDIT: 2 weeks ago, the exchange was VERY good for us Canucks 😃

Amazingly enough I was able to pay for my cabana in cdn a couple months back.  That's the first time that has ever happened.  I wish the option was open to book in cdn more often.

No.  But some credit cards don't charge a foreign exchange fee.

Look at getting a wise card - wise .com - you can run foreign balances including US$ and then use the pre-paid visa card to make payments- that will give you the best exchange rate plus no hidden fees. 

 

I'm not Canadian but New Zealand and have an even weaker $ than yours 🙂
