Customs In Civitavecchia?

We will be taking an Eastern Mediterranean R/T from Civitavecchia.  Upon completion of the cruise will we need to pass through Customs and Immigration in Civitavecchia?  I am trying to figure out timing to request a car service from the port to a Rome hotel.

Been through there 4X,never saw any kind of check

There is no individual pass through Immigrations and Customs at the port. Once the ship is cleared, you simply disembark, claim your luggage and are on your way.

If there is an issue, it would be Immigration,  not Customs.  Customs is not really "a thing" in Europe. Agree with the others,  there is rarely an Immigration procedure at Civi.
