LB_NJ Posted June 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2023 Is the Sunset Veranda on Eclipse a good choice for 2 adults and 2 children 6 and 4?
jelayne Posted June 23, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2023 The cabin is the same size and layout as a regular veranda. The thing people like is the view of the wake. It is a long walk from the mid ship stairs and elevators to the SVs. Depending upon the itinerary and time of year the sun on the balcony can make it too hot to be useable mid to late afternoon as there is only minimal cover over the balcony. Yes, it should work very well for 2 adults and 2 small kids. Of course the Kids Club (Camp at Sea) is all the way forward! If it is available and the price is right, I would encourage you to look at the 4 UV cabins all the way at the front on Decks 7 & 8. No wonderful view of the wake, but you pick up more room. Parents and kids will have their own room for sleeping and you pick up a living/dining area with balcony of course. Category UV = Ultra Deluxe Veranda which formerly were known as Family Veranda (FV). There's 4 of them on Eclipse located on Deck 7 & 8. Usually you cannot book them online, it has to be called in. They have a master bedroom for the parents, a separate bedroom with two bunk beds for the kids. And there is a large living room area + dining area. The living room has a long sofa couch that can be made up as a bed as well. The UV cabin is blessed with a lot of light as it has two large windows that face forward over the ship's bow and it had a sliding glass door that leads put to the balcony on the side of the ship. However there is only one TV and it's in the living area and there is just one standard bathroom as well. Here's a scaled floor plan on a UV cabin on Reflection: Edited June 28, 2023 by mahdnc
