cruiseforus Posted June 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2023 We have an upcoming cruise on the Summit. I just have a quick question. I thought I read somewhere that on embarkation day we can go straight to the cabin and drop our luggage off and get the key even if it’s before 1-2 o’clock when the cabins are ready and open. Does anyone know if that is correct?
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted June 23, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2023 Yes. You can drop things off and get your keycard, but are asked to leave as soon as you do.

gsantori Posted February 18 #8 Share Posted February 18 If we’re bringing our luggage to our cabin ourselves when do they check it? In the past I’ve dropped it off at the entrance and it was brought to my cabin.
Rare cruisestitch Posted February 18 #9 Share Posted February 18 (edited) I’m not sure what your question is precisely. you drop your luggage at the curb, for delivery to your stateroom you and your hand luggage go through screening in the terminal, similar to entering an airport with the carry-on luggage, going through a scanner and you walk through a metal detector Then take your hand baggage to your statements and pick up your key Edited February 18 by cruisestitch
gsantori Posted February 18 #10 Share Posted February 18 Ok I understand now. We can go in the cabin just to drop off our “hand luggage” Is this hand luggage, “carry on” as for a plane which could include a small suitcase?
