Trading out sparkling wine possible?

Hey everyone,

Cruising soon in a club balcony, and wondering if we can swap out the included embarkation sparkling wine for a different bottle of wine?

Anyone had success doing this? How did you do it?

I once tried to substitute the sparkling wine they used to give all latitudes members.  Only choice they gave me was a non-alcoholic version.

I assumed that's what they meant, but good point. Anything else, they'll charge you for. They presumably get a heavy discount on a gazillion bottles of sparkling wine from Joe's Bargain Winery. Not so for the other stuff.

yes we used to get that as a latitude perk which they have taken away. We always just pack it and bring it home for mimosa's

Good luck, bartering ... maybe, see whether you can trade that for two (2) 16.9 oz/500 ml "cartons" of Flow water.  Brut was worth - accordingly - no more than $4 or $5 retail.  

 

At one of the CC Meet & Greet, we had like 4 or 5 donated bottles for door prizes and finally, gave them away to the newbies sailing NCL for the first time. as others didn't want them ... Too heavy to be bothered with bringing them home.

Just understand it for what it is -- free wine bought by the truckload.

Our favorite use for the free sparkling wine was to take it down to breakfast at the main dining room, order some orange juice, and make some mimosas for everyone sitting near us. 😁

The "Swap Out" has never worked for us but on our last cruise we could hear two couples on the balcony during Sail Away next to us toasting and they were thrilled when we passed our bottle to them.

The complimentary wine is both cheap and likely undrinkable.

Anything you could trade if for is going to be equally cheap and undrinkable.

Best you can do with it is give it away or leave it when  you disembark.
