Specialty Dining Package

Looking into purchasing a 5 day specialty dining package pre-cruise. I have a boatload of onboard credit. Can I use that credit to purchase these or do I have to put it on a credit card?

If the OBC shows up in your Cruise Planner on Celebrity's website, you can use it to purchase the 5 day dining package. When you checkout, you are given the opportunity to declare how much OBC you want to use--with the balance, if any, charged to a credit card.

Agreed, you can you OBC. However, when buying any pre-cruise items I have found that it is very easy to misunderstand the checkout page and automatically charge it to your CC. The default payment method during checkout is for the system to choose your CC, you have to look carefully to make sure that your OBC is being used as your payment method.

The option to use OBC is just above the credit card option.

I believe that you can use Celebrity issued OBC.  However, if issued by a third party, you may have to wait until you board.

I have been caught by it defaulting to credit card payment method not OBC.

I did not know that Celebrity had my card details as I had not  filled in my details prior to check in.
