fourmile.ranch Posted July 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2023 We are probably just a one-off but I had forgotten this was our first voyage as Platinum. No pins were waiting at check-in but I was able to ask for them at the purser's desk today. Seemed a strange oversight?
exlondoner Posted July 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2023 Would you expect them at check in when they are so busy? I think we’ve received pins in our cabin during the voyage.
MCC retired Posted July 9, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2023 Had to ask for our Diamond pins at the purser.

I tend to use past experience to gauge what to expect.

I thought by check in, you meant at the counter in the terminal where you show your passport etc. Having said that, I don’t think we’ve ever received them that early in the voyage, but I can’t remember too clearly. What do you do with them?

Winifred 22 Posted July 9, 2023 #7 Share Posted July 9, 2023 (edited) I have had to ask for mine every time. Never had one waiting for me. I have mine on my winter coat lapel for winter embarkation from Southampton. Also have a souvenir Cunard lanyard with duplicates on, ship pins and year pins. Never wear it! Host Hattie Posted July 9, 2023 #8 Share Posted July 9, 2023 They've usually appeared at some point during the journey.
Chart Room Princess Posted July 9, 2023 #9 Share Posted July 9, 2023 I forgot all about that. My June cruise was my first as Platinum and I didn’t receive my pins during the cruise. When I made Gold the pins were placed on my bed one evening.

I tend to use past experience to gauge what to expect. When you mention 'Check -In' we assume you are referring to the local (part time) check-in agents at the Terminal. Usually Voyage Sales ( who are responsible for the Cunard World Club ) deal with the pins .
