Viking Hawaiian sojourn december

The damage to Lahaina appears to be terrible indeed but it is worth noting that Viking uses the pier in Kahului on the other side of the island.  Visits to Lahaina will undoubtedly be affected burps Maui is quite a lot more than Lahaina alone.

We go to Maui for several weeks every year in Jan/Feb and it is unimaginable that all of Front Street is gone. We took our kids and grandkids last year, so glad they got to experience it. it literally is making me sick thinking about it.

We live on Oahu. Lahaina is completely gone. I do not see any cruise ships being able to stop in Lahaina for probably a year or more. They are flying visitors off the island over to Oahu and housing them and displaced Maui residents in the Convention Cemter. Very sad!

I saw on the news tonight, the banyan tree is gone.  So sad.

This just breaks my heart.  That was a special tree.  (Along with everything else that has been lost, of course.)
