Miami Hotel near beach with pool?

Early research.  Cruising out of Miami with SIL and BIL in Feb 2025.  BIL and SIL will be flying in from West Coast.  DW and I drive to ports.  For Miami, we usually stay the night before in Ft Pierce and then drive down to the port.  Recently BIL and SIL had a cruise out of Port Canaveral and we joined them for a couple of nights before staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cocoa Beach. Nice place, pool and on the beach. Great restaurant, Florida Fresh Grill, right across the street. Even saw a couple of rocket launches.  So now we're looking for similar hotel  experience in Miami.  February is part of high season so SOBE and maybe NOBE will be more than other times.  Hilton Garden SOBE is around $180 a night in the fall but jumps to $450 in the winter.  Double Tree NOBE is around the same.

Any suggestions for reasonably priced beach hotels in Miami? DW nixes those converted apartment places.  Or alternatively would Fort Lauderdale be a cheaper alternative?

TIA for any suggestions.

We usually stay at the Diplomat Hollywood Beach Resort (Hilton brand). It's right on the beach, great pools, restaurants, and only about 30 minutes to the Miami cruise terminal or 20 minutes to Port Everglades terminal.

The family loves the pictures on the site. While can't see rates for 2025 yet, comparable time periods for 2024 aren't unreasonable. Certainly cheaper than Miami Beach.  Thanks.  Still exploring.
