My gut is telling me no, probably too powerful, but has anyone used one successfuly on an MSC cruise ship?

They provide one for you. Works good. Don’t allow you to bring your own.

You can definitely bring your own but the Dyson is too powerful. I would recommend you bring a spare “old fashioned” one if you have one laying around somewhere. The one they provide on the ship is not that great. It’s attached to a cord in the vanity drawer and it can’t be removed…meaning you don’t have much length in the cord to bring it up to your hair. I had to hunch over to comfortably use it. And you have to hold the button in while using. It took me close to 15 minutes to dry my hair and it was still damp in places.

There are many reports of the Dysons not working properly or short-circuiting due to amp issues.  Wouldn't risk it personally.

Yep, and knowing me, I'd be the one to cause it.

I've decided to not bother worrying about my hair on our upcoming trip. Within minutes after stepping outside into the humidity anyway, my hair has a mind of its own. So I'll be embracing my curls and just letting it go.

This has been my attitude as well. No point in battling the humidity as it’s a losing undertaking. Kept my hair in a pony or bun most of the week. So nice not having to fuss. I attempted a nicer doo on elegant night. Hair spray and an array of tiny clips did the trick!
