I’ll be on her for the first time in February A really enjoyed Carnival Spirits eccentric decor. If you want a quiet spot and normally good wifi, I recommend the jungle promenade on Deck 3 at the front of the ship. I spent a lot of my Alaska cruise there and very rarely saw anyone else. And one deck down is Java blue.

Thankfully I haven’t had too many coughing to sneezy customers despite the absolutely rubbish weather here this summer so I’m hoping I’ll avoid picking anything up. I'm sailing Sunday, so far so good, feeling great. Enjoy your cruise🙂

That's the closest port to my in-laws' (aka my future home) so I'm taking a close look at that one as well. I was glad to see it returning Fall '24 since I don't see me cruising out of there before then.

And it’s drivable for me.

Rare Saint Greg Posted September 1, 2023 Author #1386 Share Posted September 1, 2023 Most of the scenery is on the left side going there and the right side coming back. I had heard that whiz is why I got on the left side of the train. But we had enough empty seats in our car to move back and forth.

But it’s not moving very fast. But it is easy to miss things that’s why the round trip was nice.
Rare Saint Greg Posted September 1, 2023 Author #1388 Share Posted September 1, 2023 Oh god we’re pulling back into the station and a lady just asked that lady behind me to please cover her mouth. She’s probably been straight up coughing on me. I did move to the other side for the ride back.

By chance, do you know what time the bar opens up top? We have a tradition of going to mountain tops and having a beer 🙂

Sometimes I miss it but I much prefer the convenience of living in a major city.
