Rare OceanCruise Posted August 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2023 I just checked my two booked 2024 cruises and there is no longer an option to pre-purchase casino credits in my cruise planner. I already had purchased some for both cruises with OBC awhile ago that included the pre-purchase 10% bonus. I certainly hope Celebrity will still honor that. I also miss buying chips ahead of time and that ten percent bonus .
jelayne Posted August 25, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2023 We bought some on 8/4 during a flash sale at 20% off. Let’s think positive and hope they removed them in preparation for a flash sale over Labor Day weekend.

Don’t they also limit how much you can buy? I could only get a certain amount for my October cruise.

There was a limit (I think $250 pp in five $50 increments) but I was under the limit and my spouse had not purchased any casino credit yet.
dazey Posted August 25, 2023 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2023 If you pre-buy casino credit and you get the 10% bonus, you do not accumulate any blue chip credits as you are already getting a bonus. This was told to me by the casino host. Just so you are aware.
Baynanno1 Posted August 25, 2023 #7 Share Posted August 25, 2023 We discovered that yesterday when looking to get the 10% bonus for our October cruise. Confirmed no longer available by phone. Also told it might come back. 🤣

It was ten, $450 for $500 in promo chips, however I checked three sailings on different ships and none offer it. FYI, I was told by the pitboss they don't rate the promo chips yet if one's bankroll is only the $500 promo chips, they wouldn't care about how they're rated
DoubleEntry Posted August 26, 2023 #9 Share Posted August 26, 2023 Seems like all casino promos are off the table on the 9/2/23 Reflection cruise out of Barcelona.
Oren Posted September 5, 2023 #10 Share Posted September 5, 2023 Just looked for this bonus to buy it and it's not offered right now! They still offer a flash sale on the Slot Tournament. They went from $500 max per person down to $250 max per person and now nothing. Hopefully it comes back.... doubt it as once these special offers are taken away they rarely come back. Anything you purchase or any amenity (drinks, wifi, tips, obc) that was part of your original booking will always be honored no matter what changes the cruise line makes.
