Pre cruise hotel stay

For a budget-friendly hotel, we like to stay at the YWCA Hotel.  Reasonably priced and close to the Sky Train (we walk to the station and get off down by Canada Place).

We also like to stay at the Auberge.  Nice rooms, great staff and location!  We've stayed at the Pan Pacific and Fairmont Waterfront before--like both of these places but will stay only if I can get a good rate.

(We tend to travel lightly--just a medium-sized roller and backpack--and are pretty mobile.  So we don't mind taking the Sky Train to the port or walking a bit (less than a mile though).  Sometimes we will stay at an airport hotel and then just take the Sky Train in the next morning.  We cruise out of Vancouver about 4-5 times a year so we don't always want to sightsee or stay downtown.)

Pan Pacific & Waterfront are great

We stayed w/ Marriott @ the Delta Hotels Vancouver Downtown Suites back in 2019 before our TransPacific.

Fabulous views & saw our Ship in the morning.

We walked over to the Terminal rolling our luggage.

This states it's 0.2 Miles to the Cruise Terminal...

Loved the location - we only had the one night prior for this trip - so we made the most of it...
It looks like rates have gone up in the past 4 years...

I just searched for tonight - your specific dates may have different rates...

You can't get any closer than the Pan Pacific...take the elevator down, walk down a hall and you are there!  It is a little pricey, but worth the convenience of not having to worry about getting to the port the day of the cruise. We called for our bags to be taken down and they were there in less than five minutes and the bags were in our room on the ship when we got on. We took an Uber from the airport to the hotel when we arrived as we weren't sure how far we would have to walk from the Sky Train.  It is a pretty easy walk and we took the Sky Train back to the airport after the cruise. Lots of choices for food in the area.

Why was this moved to West Coast Departures?  This question is asked all the time on the Canada (Alaska/Pacific Coastal) forum.

It was  moved here because this is where it belongs...West Coast Departures. This is a question about a pre cruise hotel for cruise departing  Vancouver and Vancouver is on the list of departure ports to be discussed on this forum:

West Coast Departures

Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver

The Canada (Alaska/Pacific Coastal) forum is part of the Ports of Call forums and this thread is not about Vancouver as a port of call.

Just because some other similar threads were not moved from the other forum doesn't mean they shouldn't have been moved. They're the ones that are in the wrong forum. This thread was moved to the proper place.
