Good morning, We just booked a Princess cruise with the Prime package…. My question is: should we use the OceanNow service to order a drink when sat in a bar or a restaurant or do we wait for wait staff service? Cant wait to sail on Princess

Welcome to Princess.

I assume you mean, Premier package?

You can order however you prefer.

We sometimes sit at the bar and just order or the restaurant.

OceanNow is great at the pool or if you’re somewhere on the ship and want a drink or snack.

Whatever you like and what is convenient for you.

Ocean now orders go to a central location. If you are at a bar or restaurant the location probably will not be the bartender where you are. Probably more convenient just to order from the bartender or waiter. If you are in a location that does not have waiters then ocean now maybe the better option. Ocean now is also the option if you want some food items delivered to your location. Caution you to watch your on board account daily.

Sometimes it goes to a nearby bar, as I found out on the Enchanted.  We were sitting in the closed Bistro venue, playing cards and ordered drinks. Didn’t want to stop our game.  It was delivered from the bar nearby.

We also found it faster to just grab a drink from a bar before heading into the MDR for dinner.  We did not use the App to order at the MDR.  However, sometimes the bar-staff in the MDR were very busy.  So, we would put in our order for another drink after being seated for dinner.  It worked out.

When we're in Princess Live or Explorer's Lounge, are drinks are definitely being made at the bar there.

When we're in the piazza, our coffee drinks are coming from the IC.

When we're relaxing on deck 6 of the piazza, our martinis are coming from Crooners.

There is a service bar in the the various galleys for the dining rooms.

You can see it during galley tours.   It's like a stainless steel jail cell.

Mostly bars, with a lockable door and pass through.

I guess liquor walks away if it isn't kept locked up.
