Lest the Hotel at 1100 am and was eating lunch at O'Sheehans around 1145 am. What berth did you leave from? We will be staying at holiday in as well and our documents say 101 but port schedule lists 46. Would like to walk. Our plan has been to stop at Duke of Wellington night before too. How was the food? Thanks for all the great info! Will enjoy following along. Enjoy your cruise!

Depending on the ports/itinerary, we would book those obstructed OV for savings and then do WP upgrade if Mrs. "wants" a balcony for fresh air in the tropical evenings & mornings. Whoever is no the side next to that upper bunk/pullman bed ... "mind" or watch your head as it's easy to bump into that, especially if seas are really rough & ship is rocking. That crooked passage is narrow for sure but quiet otherwise, little foot traffic except for pax staying in that area - yours is one of the handful of sideway cabins, correct ... how does it feel ? One of these days, might actually book one (not in the immediate future, however) In the mid/late evenings, you are probably going to hear party music coming up from the atrium lobby below, as NCL does things down there, especially on sea days & if outdoors are closed for weather & safety reasons ... but, they do stop after 11 PM, respecting quieter time, maybe a late night movie on projection TV screen (popcorns too) @graphicguy confirmed/reported that Epic now has Starlink active, onboard and getting decent, usable speed, NCL apparently decided to roll it out while in Europe. Long overdue, to some of us. Continuing to follow, thanks for taking the extra time, effort & sharing. Atrium / O'Sheehans seems to shut down after 1100PM, no big screen, only chairs and a piano. Starbucks clone little traffic, no major lines at guest services until today's announcement of change. Love the cabin but as you recently posted maybe down the hall one cabin. Bathroom toilet area tight, very tight. No Starlink here or any plans for it as per manager

Rare JIMESOPUS Posted October 5, 2023 Author #31 Share Posted October 5, 2023 Cold, wet and windy day here in Cobh, NCL has posted that there maybe issues today with the TV and Wifi. Rare JIMESOPUS Posted October 6, 2023 Author #34 Share Posted October 6, 2023 A great day in Cork, $13 euros round trip both of us, Pubs everywhere, every alley had more restaurants and shops. Pub #5 - Thomond Bar, somewhere in central Cork, Rockshore Irish Lager. Gift from the casino found in the cabin when we got back. Laundry day today, free for us but they have a $29 special.

Rare JIMESOPUS Posted October 7, 2023 Author #39 Share Posted October 7, 2023 Cagney's, love the smaller venue opposed to the MDR style on Away ships and the darker furniture. Today a second martini tasting with different ones this afternoon, Dinner with Officers is also on the scheduled this evening. Rare mking8288 Posted October 7, 2023 #41 Share Posted October 7, 2023 Love that hideaway lounge/iCafe on Deck 9, above the atrium ... with O'Sheehan's just below. The Dawn refurbished that space and put comfortable sofa & lounge chairs in there, could easily fall asleep there ... called that the mini Observation Lounge (of the "actions" below) while listening to atrium music/band playing, minus the giant picture windows on select mega ships. With the past few days, NCL has resumed shuffling ship schedules again for 2024-25, dry dock & changing (seasonal) home ports ... think we are going to put a freeze on making any plans, aside from one of the older & smaller ships for the Alaska season next Spring. As expected, last minute deals beginning to pop up again with extra Latitudes point(s) - doesn't matter to us - besides, not exactly thrilled to see Bermuda in December, January or February, even as a quick en route stop. Joy's "pure" westbound TA, all sea days only, returning to Miami after dry dock is dirty cheap ... $449+ for Insides, DW and I can each book a cabin for transit, LOL. Back to the Star, how is she in terms of wear-n-tear (should be expected) anything stood up, looked like generally speaking, in good working orders, no plumbing issues or sewage odors, etc. Enjoy those pub & tavern crawls ashore, are you counting how many you've visited thus far 😎

Cosmetically she needs some TLC, carpets are stained and wore down. Had issues with some of the laminate on the cabinets in this cabin which was reported from an earlier cruise that was repaired. Signs of rust on the exterior in many places. Crew constantly patching up.
