Icon 3 Blocks Are In The House!

Recommended Posts

I think the last new royal ship to start it's season in the Med was Symphony. Every new build after was sent to Florida. That includes Wonder who's initial China deployment was derailed by COVID. Whatever data royal has learned from Wonder and the success of Oasis class on the short itinerary means that new builds will keep coming to the Caribbean sailings until the $$$ change.

No idea what royals data shows for the Med. Granted a lot more competition for Royal around the med.

An Icon class would sell well, but i am guessing 3/4 nights would be more preferable to Royal so will probably base another mega ship out of the US.

Bums on seats for Royal back and forth to coco cay.......

I can't see them wasting an icon ship in the med.

Unless they can dry dock in the Americas, Icon will likely be in the Med in 5 years.

I'm guessing the summer of 2028.

Since she entered service in Jan 2024 she can't go beyond that date for a drydock and Jan is too early to send her over so I think she would do the summer of 2028 in the med and then have a fall drydock followed by a TA

@smokeybandit,

I just looked at the web page data again.

They still have "TR" listed as an unnamed (TBA of the Seas) "IC" (Icon) ship

and "LE" as an unnamed (TBA) "OA" (Oasis) ship

And "Legend" doesn't show up, other than I think we can assume it will be "LE"

But interestingly, there is a 4th "IC" (Icon) ship listed now, with a ship code of "HE".

So we know they've updated the data. I wonder why they haven't added Legend and fixed the LE/TR bit.

I guess we just add it to RC IT genius.

ooh, interesting indeed.

I don't see any active trademarks that match "HE" though there is a recently dead one for Haven of the Seas.

Intrigue of the Seas is now dead, too, which was my guess for Icon 3's "TR"
