Usufructory Posted October 18, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2023 I’ve noted thst cruisers are permitted to take onboard two bottles of wine each. Would Celebrity let us take onboard two 1.5 litre bottles of wine each?
omeinv Posted October 18, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2023 (edited) It's a 750 ml bottle, and it's been reduced to one per adult passenger. Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages onboard; with the exception of embarkation day when each guest (of legal drinking age) is permitted to bring onboard one (1) 750 ml bottle of wine (which are subject to a corkage fee) per guest. A corkage fee does not apply to guests with the Classic Beverage Package or Premium Beverage Package. ChucktownSteve Posted October 18, 2023 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2023 If you want to try for two bottles per person, place two bottles in each carry-on but separate going through the scanning machine. They don't know who's with who that way. If they confiscate, I believe you get it returned at the end of the cruise.
Rangerblp Posted October 18, 2023 #6 Share Posted October 18, 2023 When you carry on a bottle do you just have to take it with you to eat at night?

No you do not have to carry it anywhere and will incur a corkage fee if you take it into the dining room. Read post #2. We have taken a bottle, opened it in our stateroom and poured ourselves a glass and taken that to the dining room without incurring a corkage fee.

Cruise Gopher Posted October 18, 2023 #10 Share Posted October 18, 2023 We usually take a bottle of champagne with us, even if we have the drink package, because it’s nice to sit on the balcony for sail away and just enjoy the bottle.
TMLAalum Posted October 18, 2023 #11 Share Posted October 18, 2023 We often cruise with my Bil/Sil who do not care for wine. They have been willing mules for us. They weren't with us on our Silhouette cruise this past winter when 2 bottles of wine per person were permitted. Thanks to the Elite happy hour perk, we ended up with one of the four bottles to take home! Since the Elite benefit is moot for embarkation day, it was nice to enjoy a glass of wine on the veranda!
