Questions about Haven

Hello

We are booked on the NCL Joy in the Haven for December. I was under the impression that booking in the Haven gives you free specialty dining for 2 people and free premium beverage package. However, when I go online to make specialty dining reservations, it is charging me per person for each person in our party (we are 3 people). In addition, the reservations for dining are only allowing me to book for 2 or 4 people. Also in my dashboard, it is asking if I want to upgrade to the premium beverage package. Can someone help explain to me what is going on?

TIA

Book your set price specialty restaurants first, such as Moderno and

Teppanaki. Book fixed price first, ala-carte next.If you book ala-carte first and fixed price second, the system thinks you’ve used your coupons up and will charge you upfront for the third and subsequent reservations.
They don’t have three person tables. Just book a table for four. Decline the beverage package upgrade request if you’re not interested.

Booking the Haven does not give you any specialty restaurants.  You would get that with the FAS package.  2 or 3 meals depending on the length of the cruise. Only the first two in the cabin will get this.  For the third in a room, you have to pay.  All parties do have access to the Haven restaurant for three meals a day.  As previously mentioned, book your fixed price menus first.

Hi Tia!  Your impressions are incorrect.  The Haven has its own dining facility and it offers fantastoc food.  You do not get ether of the perks you mentioned simply for being in the Haven.  You may get some perks from he FAS offer but that has nothng to do with the Haven.  The Haven is amazing you will love beihg there!

What's going on is that the Haven does not give you specialty dining nor does it give you a free premium beverage package. You get nothing.

There are current promotions that offer specialty dining and the Premium Beverage Package. You need to pay the gratuities for both specialty dining and the Premium Beverage Package if you elect to accept them.

When making dining reservations, you need to book cover charge restaurants first (Teppanyaki and Moderno). Then book a la carte restaurants. Yes, you need to book a table for 4.

On your dashboard you are being offered the Premium Beverage Package Plus package. The standard Premium Beverage Package will pay for the first $15 of each drink. If your drink price exceeds $15 (which is uncommon for standard bar drinks (i.e., not top shelf liquor)), you pay the difference in price. With the Plus upgrade, additional beverages including bottled water, energy drinks, sports drinks, and specialty coffees are included.

Currently on Joy in Haven.  BirdTravels and Russiamomm are correct.  I would just add that the Haven restaurant is great plus the Haven Horizon lounge has snacks available morning and afternoon.  Also it's great to order whatever Haven breakfast you want delivered to your room😊

I hope that you are having a wonderful cruise and that Tammy is not bothering you too much. Rest, relax, enjoy the Joy. Get the bionic eyes and bionic DH in shape for more cruising! St. Maarten is a favorite port, but NCL doesn't call there very much any more... they are doing the Dominican Republic is is not on our favorite port list.

Yes Tammy had given us a rocky ride reminiscent of cruising years ago on smaller ships.  We are loving it😊.

With your advice we have learned to enjoy having our breakfast delivered.

New bionic parts holding up well😉
