Venezia Casino and DOU

I am thinking of booking the Venezia. I always get Casino offer off DOU while in casino. I know this ship has no casino bar. I saw a YouTube review that is was near impossible to get a drink in this casino. "Short handed".. Now that review was when the ship was first launched . Anyone have any  recent experience with this. It will be a deal breaker if I have to wait and hour for a drink when it is part of my offer.

I just did a 21-day B2B on Venezia (9/23 - 10/14).  Depending on the day and time, getting a server to come around ranged from difficult to nearly impossible.  I would always tip the servers $2.00 whenever we did order from them hoping they would come around sooner, but it didn't help at all.  We usually just play slots, so I can't say if tables have the same issues, but I assume a pit boss could call for a server if needed.  I don't drink much at all, and fortunately we had DOU everywhere on board, so I was able to run to a nearby bar when my wife wanted a drink.  I loved the ship and overall had hardly anything negative to say about it, but drinks in the casino is defiantly an issue.

I’ve seen some complaints about drink service in the casino and others expressing it was no issue (and posting pictures of them with multiple drinks because the server came around so often).  I’m guessing it’s a crap shoot and different days and times of day will yield different results, depending upon how busy the casino is and how many people are ordering drinks…

Also, people probably don’t think about this, but which drink they order will impact service.  A server can probably fill an order of beers and wines and liquors on the rocks or neat pretty quickly.  If there are a bunch of complex mixed drinks, though, those take longer to make and will slow down the whole process…

I was on the same 21 day B2B as Old Fart Cruisers. I played tables mostly in the non smoking annex and had no problem getting drinks. If the pit boss saw that my drink was getting low, he would flag down a server, but most of the time they were checking up on me. 😎

I just home from our 9 night cruise. Casino was extremely crowded as this was also a Premiere cruise. I never saw so much action. It was definitely a challenge to get a machine. DW and I tipped with every order. Didn't matter. Bar service was very slow in the main casino most times we were in there. Someone said that 60% of the cruisers on our sailing were on some sort of casino offer. Main casino very, very Smokey. Our favorite game  Let it Ride wasn't available in non-smoking casino so we sucked it up !
