Tntt Posted October 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2023 (edited) So next year I will celebrating a milestone birthday so I am looking into celebrating it with my family on a cruise. The problem is my birthday is during the summer months which is the most expensive time to cruise. We prefer to leave from Port canaveral and I was looking at 3 or 4 nt on the new utopia of the seas but the prices for 2 people will be almost 2000.00 for a interior room. Then there is the adventure of the seas for a 6 nt for about 1800.00. I am a little undecided because I would love to cruise on the new utopia but I kinda feel like the prices are outrageous for just a 3/4 nt that's only going to the the Bahamas, but the adventure of the seas is older and alot smaller and i dont know if I will like cruising on a smaller ship. Weve always cruised on freedom and oasis class sized ships but the adventure is going to Dominican republic and labadee. Has anyone sailed on adventure? Was it nice? I'm just a little torn at what to do. Any thoughts? Edited October 24, 2023 by Tntt

I'm booked a group rate boardwalk balcony utopia for half what you post, group rate. Find a TA with group rates.to me it's a trade off to do some with

Tatka Posted October 24, 2023 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2023 Adventure is pretty close to Freedom. Just a little bit smaller, but it does not feel much smaller. Very similar design and feel.
taglovestocruise Posted October 24, 2023 #7 Share Posted October 24, 2023 Will Wonder of the Seas be sailing from Port Canaveral in 2024. If so it will be much better priced than Utopia.
nalatrixie74 Posted October 24, 2023 #8 Share Posted October 24, 2023 ive never been on adventure, but my opinion, more days, better ports, less money is a win! nice to have these type of decisions ☺️
nelblu Posted October 24, 2023 #9 Share Posted October 24, 2023 I'm also accustomed to Oasis and Quantum classes. I did sail on Mariner about a year ago and had a fantastic time. Better as it was a casino comp cruise. Because of the pricing and itinerary, I booked 11 nights on Explorer and I know that I will enjoy it. Explorer is similar to the Adventure. FloridaGator Posted October 24, 2023 #10 Share Posted October 24, 2023 Have been on all mentioned. Wonder is way overpriced and the new mega ships feel crowded. Adventure by a mile.
homedepot124 Posted October 24, 2023 #11 Share Posted October 24, 2023 We just spent two weeks on Adventure. The ship is in good shape for a 22 year old ship. I would definitely sail on her again. Great crew.
