So next year I will celebrating a milestone birthday so I am looking into celebrating it with my family on a cruise. The problem is my birthday is during the summer months which is the most expensive time to cruise.

We prefer to leave from Port canaveral  and I was looking at 3 or 4 nt on the new  utopia of the seas but the prices for 2 people will be almost 2000.00 for a interior room. Then there is the adventure of the seas for a 6 nt for about 1800.00.

I am a little undecided because I would love to cruise on the new utopia but I kinda feel like the prices are outrageous for just a 3/4 nt that's only going to the the Bahamas, but the adventure of the seas is older and alot smaller and i dont know if I will like cruising on a smaller ship. Weve always cruised on freedom and oasis class  sized ships but  the adventure is going to Dominican republic and labadee. Has anyone sailed on adventure? Was it nice? I'm just a little torn at what to do. Any thoughts?

I'm booked on all 3 from PC. Adventure is smaller and has better ports. I'm booked a group rate boardwalk balcony utopia for half what you post, group rate. Find a TA with group rates.to me it's a trade off to do some with

I'm also accustomed to Oasis and Quantum classes.  I did sail on Mariner about a year ago and had a fantastic time.  Better as it was a casino comp cruise.  Because of the pricing and itinerary, I booked 11 nights on Explorer and I know that I will enjoy it.  Explorer is similar to the Adventure.
