Tampa Fog

Got fog delayed earlier this year. Finally allowed to enter the Bay at 2 p.m. for the four hour sail in. The time folks got off, supplies loaded and new folks go on, the ship left in the early hours. On this occasion, very little, if anything, done to assist those waiting dock side to board.

due to the length of the transit from the sea buoy to the pier they regularly begin in the wee hours .... The distance is about 35 nautical miles of restricted channels. In order to ensure they are at the pier by 6am (to begin off load at 7am) they need to begin the transit around 2am (4 hours travel time is typical as mentioned above) ....
