Our stop in Funchal cancelled due to a strike involving pilots and dock workers.

Like many of you we have been there countless times and planned to stay on board

All that 100yr old Madeira isn't going to drink itself (nor will it taste any different in 10yrs). 😉

I'll be there for Christmas and New year.

It's a lovely place and lovely people

Not fun :  I am afraid of the airport in Madeira so I was there only as passenger on a cruise ship

and Regent is not  refunding  a few $$$  if a port is cancelled

Another heads up

both prime 7 and chartreuse have been open for lunch on sea days. If you want a table you have to line up at 1145!

Line up?

Surely you've been cleared for Fast Track

on the ms Europa there is a deck for nude sunbathing as well !

This deck was available on a lot of ships (I do not remember exactly, but I think it was Celebrity and Carnaval) I cruised on until about 10 years ago.

Trying my best. Actually I eat very little for lunch but Mr bitob wanted the pulled pork sandwich in prime 7. Maybe I’ll have my butler get it. I don’t stand in line

Like the Norma line,  but Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.

I don't think this normally happens. We were in Chartreuse on Grandeur two days ago. Arrived at 12.15 & had a lovely meal with most tables empty.

The line versus empty tables tells us something.

Prime 7 most popular restaurant for sure.

I will add

the food on this ship is the best I’ve had on any cruise

Thanks for all the reports from the new ship.

No experience of Grandeur but on Splendor and Explorer we like the excellent lunch menus in both Chartreuse and Prime 7, with a slight preference for the regular offerings in Chartreuse.

I believe the lunchtime daily specials are the same in Chartreuse, P7 and La Veranda.
