. For example, they demanded sitting together in the YC restaurant, no tables for 18, so had to push together 4 tops. That is fine. But what isn't fine is they wanted these tables reserved whether their party was all together present or not. This is akin to 'chair hogging' on the pool deck, depriving other YC guests of a table in an overcrowded sailing.

That's ridiculous and hopefully was not allowed.

Had lunch today at the Hola Taco specialty Restaurant. All one can eat for $18.(Ocean Cay Day). . The quesadillas were not as salty even with cheese as last month. Food is so subjective and we find it differing every time we cruise always having our same favorites.

It was such a beautiful day on Ocean Cay that we knew it would be over crowded at Ocean House. With 330 YC guests and seating for 168, there would be inconveniences. There are a couple of big groups in the Yacht Club and they are very demanding. For example, they demanded sitting together in the YC restaurant, no tables for 18, so had to push together 4 tops. That is fine. But what isn't fine is they wanted these tables reserved whether their party was all together present or not. I was thinking this was a joke (table for 18), but I guess not.

I agree 100%.  I hope the YC management informed them that it would only be done when their group was present vs permanently.  It's unfair to the other guest.

The other guest should be encourage to demand what they want for seating arrangements just as well.

We can all agree with your sentiment. But when 'some' come aboard with large groups they can become very demanding. Presently 'heard' that the YC Restaurant is down 6 waiters. When asked why management did not 'pull' 6 waiters from other restaurants the reply was "They are not yet up to YC standards."

P.S. Reminds me of a cruise years ago on Cunard Princess. Main dining was short of wait staff so management pulled deck hands from their deck swabbing and put them in waiters garb. A table mate asked for fresh ground pepper on his meal and the "waiter" was grinding the mill upside down.

We will be on the Seascape next week, wondering what the Shrimp (cocktail and otherwise) situation is like for dining in YC.

Rich Shrimp Cocktail is on tomorrow’s menu. So perhaps one can have a standing order. This is one of the reasons we requested to have the same table every evening with the same waiter of the maitre d (I also added we like to tip extra). In order to be accommodated one has to be ‘flexible’ in one’s dining times.

Saw it covered up on second floor of the Jungle pool.

Thanks. Does that mean it is out of service or just covered when not in use? Sorry if that is a silly question. Just hoping it can be used in 3 weeks.

Tonight’s Chora Theatre production is called “Young at Heart “. Same production was called “Let’s Dance “ for months prior. Thought this group was not as good this time. Lacked energy, just going through the motions, forgetable. (Nobody has ever built a monument to a critic).

Noticed this cruise everyone (guests) got to the show on time. Very little coming and going during the performance( a fluke?).

Covered from abuse.

Oh man. That's crazy.

Are people still abusing the elevator key pad? Any news on the repairs to them and the glass for the Bridge of Sighs? Or, was it the other glass walk way that had the damage and was roped off?

Glad you asked. It was the Infinity Bridge, deck 8, starboard side, glass foot bridge that HAS been repaired. Only one elevator keypad deck 7 still needs to be repaired. Bridge of Sighs is deck 18 stern which can accommodate wheelchairs and has always been okay as I recall.

Thanks. This is great news that repairs have been made. It was sad to read that such a newish ship had damage already. Darn cruisers need to behave 😃

Better group of passengers than summer months. Though i took a clandestine photo of a ball capped, shorts wearing YC guest with his bare feet propped up on the sofa of the TopSail Lounge. Where is Tony S ?

Today is another beautiful, mild day anchored off George Town, Grand Cayman. Tender port. Takes 15 minutes to load 2-3 called tender numbers of about 30 guests per number and another 20 minute tender ride to shore.MSC arranged tours do not need tender tickets. They congregate at different spots on the ship and are escorted down to the tenders. No time changes so far so less likely to video pier runners this cruise mixing up their time to get back to the ship. Here is a short video I took with a happy ending. It is always nice to cruise with a group of fellow passengers that root 'for the home team' than ridicule and chastise. All aboard at 3:15 pm.

Thank you!  I will do our best (tip of the green) to ensure we have the same waiter each night.  our last RC cruise our head waiter did quite well in the tip arena when on day 3 he started bringing extra shrimp cocktails or other shrimp appetizers "just in case"
