Need some more information on type of cabin and location. The piazza itself can ba loud from say 10am to 6am

We are looking at the cabana minisuites on Deck 10 of the Sun Princess. Most of them are in the sphere, but I know other ships don't have that.

I don’t think there will much information till these ships sail.

Well, we stayed on Emerald deck (Deck 8 ) above the Piazza, but it was a balcony cabin - so not directly overtop of the interior piazza portion.  Didn't hear any noise whatsoever, but maybe an interior cabin might.

Thank you! Good to hear. Do you know what specifically was beneath you?

Loud?  Deafening is more like it.  And I thought the Princess website said the piazza was "inviting".

Maybe they are paving the way for Miracle Ear to have a shop onboard.

It may depend on the date and itinerary sailed. We have been under the pool deck and it was silent. Of course, Alaska in September.

The Piazza does host some noisy events. But after bedtime, I wouldn’t expect it to be loud, if that’s your concern.

On the Discovery last summer the piano player in Crooners was screaming out rock and roll songs at 2:00 am

Thanks everyone! We decided to go with a different room type to get cabin in between two floors of cabins.

I booked on the edge of the sphere on deck 10 just to have that proximity.  We have 10401.  And I'm super excited to see this new ship. Granted it's just a deluxe balcony, but these rooms look beautiful.

When are you sailing? Would love to hear about it afterwards!

We'll be on in March of 2025.  Way past the initial launch.  But we're night owls and heavy sleepers, so if there is any noise we already knew it wouldn't impact us.  I'm sure there will tons of feedback for you early on.  Enjoy your cruise!

That's the safest thing to do if one likes peace and quiet.  We also try to find a cabin with other cabins across the corridor to avoid being near the cart storage/scullery and also avoid adjoining cabins with a door between.

Booking a cabin under the Melanoma Deck or above a disco is an experience never to be repeated.

Hi,

I'm looking to take my first Princess cruise, and the only cabins left in the class I want are on the floor above the Piazza. Has anyone stayed in a room located over the Piazza? If so, how was it?

The piazza is on deck 5 midship.  There are a few ships with cabins on deck 6 but the are not directly over the piazza.  We’ve not been bothered by noise in these cabins are the midship cabins on deck 8 or 9, for that matter.  We rather like the midship cabins as they are conveniently located.

However the piazza on Royal class ship go up through deck 7 and the sound travels up. On the discovery you could barely have a conversation in venues on 7. I would avoid a midship cabin above it.  I still prefer aft facing cabins and all of my next 7 cruises are aft

Really, till 6am?  What on earth is going on in the piazza till 6am in the morning?  Curious.

Should have been 2am   The svents in the piazza calm down usually by dinner time but on the Discovery the piano player was pounding out Beastie Boys songs well after 1am and that is right on the piazza. Also there was a report recently about a 2 day cruise over a weekend that there was still dancing to a dj until 4am but that is probably a one off

The late night DJ's are now playing in the Piazza on all the Royal Class ships.  Spinning the hits until 1-2 am.  I speak from personal experience that I wish this was held in the Vista Lounge as a more nightclub venue, but the DJ said passengers complained in the cabins above.  So Piazza it is.  And it just isn't the same vibe dancing under super bright lighting.
However the new Sun which the OP was asking about has different floors for the Piazza from deck 7-9.  And I'm sure most of the evening entertainment there will be done by 10 or 11 pm.

You're kidding?

Regal and Royal have Club 6 ... or did those spaces get reconfigured for something else? 🤔

They got turned into a sports bar/lounge and overflow space from casino for more machines.
