padgman1 Posted December 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2023 Thinking of reserving a Sunset Veranda on Connie TA 2025 from Rome, only ones available now on Deck 9 - will the noise from Sunset Bar above be overly bothersome?
Wineaux007 Posted December 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2023 I wouldn't say overly bothersome. You will hear some scraping of chairs & tables moving from time to time, and in the evening with the staff setting them up for the following morning, but nothing late at night. If you are a light sleeper, it may be bothersome, but I think the aft views outweigh the tiny inconvenience.
screwsmcernst Posted December 1, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2023 We sailed in a sunset veranda deck 9 on the Summit. We loved it. We didn't hear very much of the chair scraping, but we could hear muffled chatter. We really only heard it when we were standing at the railing. The best part was we could hear the musicians who were singing or playing the guitar. It was really enjoyable.

On the Connie TA , they didn’t have anyone playing at the Sunset Bar 😢
padgman1 Posted December 1, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted December 1, 2023 Thanks for the comments so far. Really had a problem with hearing foot traffic and carts early morning on Solstice when in a Sky Suite years ago, worried about similar noise. Purplsmurf Posted December 1, 2023 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2023 We did it on Infinity. We were on the corner so while loud wasn’t horrible. Our neighbors, on the other hand, said it was awful. They wanted to change cabins because it was so bad. I would never book one there again,
jekyll2020 Posted December 1, 2023 #7 Share Posted December 1, 2023 just got home 2 days ago from 10 day cruise on infintity deck 9 aft corner. would not recommend it. we heard loud scraping of chairs starting anytime around 6 am and all day and evening. occasional loud impact sounds as well. the balcony was amazing 270 degree view but very noisy. wrk2cruise Posted December 1, 2023 #8 Share Posted December 1, 2023 We were in a center SV on Connie. It's under the bar seating so yes heard scraping of chairs all day. Probably wouldn't do it again.

However, those from above can see the end of the balcony.
